My guess is Brick, Nj on Barnegatt Bay. 917 is an NYC cell area code.

If anyone is even remotely thinking about a 2A, you'd better think very seriously about this one. Looks pretty well sorted. 2A restoration being what it is these days you will come out way ahead of the game by buying one that's all ready to go.

Don't you kind of need to know how much he wants for it before you can say someone would come out "way ahead"?

I have plenty of NOS stuff and parts for it.
I'm asking 9,000.00 for it.

You've clearly never restored a vehicle.

The window to edit posts closes after a while.

So lets add what you need to in a fresh post

Bad deal !

So I am the guy who "thought" he bought the truck from Lou Lou. I called and didn't even argue the price. I sent a deposit on paypal for 500.00 without hesitation. I told George all I need was a capy of the title and a bill of sale showing the balance due and I would overnight a cashiers check. Waited 2 1/2 days and didn't receive anything. Several calls and emails with no response. So tonight I get a paypal refund with a message "sorry I decided to hold on to the truck". I can understand sellers remorse because I've had it myself but when I make a deal I go through with a deal (A MAN IS ONLY AS GOOD AS HIS WORD) hey it's his truck and it's his decision not to sale but MAN UP and call the buyer and explain??? Just sending a deposit back just don't sit right with me.

My maybe 2nd post ever here but this one got to me!

This "seller's remorse" is becoming all too popular! In the age of internet these jack asses are deciding they've undervalued their vehicles and "re-calling" the sale - it's common, somewhat dishonest, and far from the "gentlemanly" thing to do.

100% agree. If you put it for sale or commit to buy it, follow thru. I got burned here by a guy who committed to selling me something and sold it to somebody else for whatever reason. He is now persona non grata to both me and to all my friends on this and other LR forums. This is a very small community, everybody knows everybody in one way or another. If you starts screwing people you will find your reputation permanently tarnished however a feedback section for this board would help newbies avoid the cheats and welchers too.

Bodie,
Hopefully somebody else here will help you find a nice truck. Loulou55 broke a cardinal rule here and don't be shy about reminding people about this incident next week, next month or next year when he tries to sell something again.

Once you agree a price and accept a deposit a vehicle is sold….end of story. If you changed your mind he would of kept your deposit. Personally I think he needs to honor the sale. We have all seen trucks leave our driveway and regretted the sale almost immediately but a deal is a deal…….

First off a SALE on a vehicle is not valid until paperwork is signed or agreed on. Bodie sent me a deposit which I agreed to yes, then the stipulations began and the whole thing turned me off. I really wanted the truck to go to the right person who would be its new custodian.
As far as returning phone calls and replying to this posting I really do not have time. The only reason I am is because I did not mislead anyone and monies were returned.
I don't think calling people jack asses because they have a change of mind or if there were other issues involved is a good thing.
I'll make it a point not to list anything more on this Forum. Thanks to all who had positive comments and to the few that I will keep in touch.
