We've pulled the ripcord: Land Rover Defender 90 | eBay

$5000 starting bid, no reserve. Whoever wins it, wins it. Have at it.

Would it make it to Boston with no issues ? And that means me in the drivers seat.

I'm not a mechanic, but I don't know of any reason why it wouldn't. The tires are a touch dry-rotted, but they're not leaking at all, so they should last for a while yet.

Auction closes tomorrow, and then it's off to its new house.

Since the winner didn't seem to understand that "cash, cashiers check, or wire transfer" doesn't include "PayPal", it has been relisted: Land Rover Defender 90 | eBay

dagone Jonathan, I know you want to just end this chapter...

it will get sold; $12,800 was a decent price--too bad on the buyer.

Seriously. I was really, *really* hoping.

And, yeah, given we paid $17k for the truck alone, before all the work, that was a screaming deal. Here's to hoping we can get back there again, this time with someone who can read the bloody instructions.

This is a new owner, I met him a few weeks ago. From my understanding he is selling because he is being reassigned and deploying for a few years.

Thanks, Should I be concerned with a fast turnaround and what seems like a pretty good price?

absolutely, but then go prove it to yourself it's the truck and the condition for you. don't make buying decisions on what others have read.

Seems like the same price. Just be happy he's not asking $35k.
