As I read the Document it shows that Derek was the purchasing/importing individual and he brought two rigs in on that shipment. It is public information and can be easily found when searching google with the VIN. You may notice that it shows the date/port of arrival as well as the vessel it arrived on.

The person you need to have contact the dvla is the person I bought it from as they where the last holder of an actual V5 in the UK. I will call them and have them switch the it to exported this week.

Thanks for looking into that, Charles - the truck's about half an hour north of Raleigh. And please let me know when you've confirmed the ratios Brian.
FWIW the snipes about the truck not having been "properly exported" are bs. Years ago the dvla stopped requiring certificates of perm export because of the expense to administer those records. Part of the old V5 document is a form that you could detach and send in to the dvla to notify them the vehicle has been exported. DVLA no longer wants/requires these coming in due to the additional expense/staffing.

I only get certificates of perm export when the original v5 has been lost and they do take about a month.

Why anyone here gives a damn about this Uk status is inane.

It would seem that once Charles swaps the diffs to 3:54's the only issue with the truck goes away.

Thanks for the clarification, Ryan.

And good to know, Doug, but I'll still go ahead and drop the letter in the mail to DVLA and get that check in the box checked. It'll only cost me a buck, and I'll feel better knowing that all the paperwork is in order, regardless of what the potential buyers might care about .

For those not concerned about the UK "Export marker" flag, the price has been dropped to $27,500 and it has been relisted here: http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/4662385416.html

We're getting increasingly negotiable on this. Feel free to throw out a price.

Funny thing is one of the people who helped us get it off the side of the road when the engine blew was a rural route driver... She really wanted it at the time, or, at least, would have if it had been running.
