Not mine 1980 2 dr RRC

I talked to the guy, seems pretty nice. No motor rockin a lt95 with OD. It has a title from an 87 RRC that he combined with it. Happy to check it out for someone if they are interested.

Did he set up some sort of top for it or is it probably rusted from the inside out?

Well, it apparently has no roof whatsoever so that should be easy.

Apparently, the two door convertible was a pretty popular aftermarket conversion. This, however, just looks like a sawz all conversion.

At that price you could pick up a d1.

Can't see it being worth that. Shame, I have a 60k 4.2 in the shop.

……..any SWB RRC roof will fit.

Possible useful info;

Note that Defender roofs make better toboggans (the ribbed for you sledding pleasure kind). RRC roofs have no where near as good lateral stability but are still better than smooth Defender roofs.
I'll try to get the Land Rover roof toboggan suitability matrix published at some point. Probably about the same time I update my face book page lol.

As far as that bone 2 door goes……probably worth more in parts if it had any of the 2 door peculiar interior bits. Still hard pressed to find a reason to spend $1500 on that, especially as the nice drivable versions I own were about the same price AND had roofs.

new expansion complete. Not only are we the only Rover shop in Eliot Maine...now we're also the biggest.

Weird.

I would've guessed a RRC non-sunroof/roof to make the best toboggan... you learn something here every day.
