New d90 enthusiast needing help

I am the new d-90 enthusiast out of NY, you can read my posting from last week. Can someone take a look at this ebay posting and tell me their thoughts. It seems very reasonable, am i missing something? Im ready to acquire this vehicle but considering financial mkt conditions and the state of the economy, im a bit sluggish on dropping 26k on a vehicle i dont need, but really want.

26k isnt really a bargain for a 94, but this looks clean. I would expect a serviceable soft top for my 26k, and he says the one he has isnt very good.

The rear crossmember has had a quickie spray-paint job, and for that matter, it looks as if the whole undercarriage has had a quickie undercoating job. These are never good signs on an auction, especially when there are no pix of the parts that rust.

Also the fender flairs are either glossy or heavily armor-all'd. If they're all replaced, why? On the pic of the engine compartment, on the driver's side I can tell if overspray came through the wing vent from a re-paint or if its just a photo artifact.

I definitely wouldn't buy it without an inspection. You just can't tell enough from the pix.

I sent you a PM with my last online experience. Agree with JimC, beware of the quickie paint job. Seems like he's overselling it a bit too. Note that he changed his user i.d. from ambulance chaser to the litigator. Sounds like a real winner...

Also note that it has the 1995 lower front lights and a 1995 style brushbar and bumper.

Buy JimC's truck and save the price difference. His truck, while not perfect or rust free, is in good mechanical shape and you won't lose much money on resale.
