modified, updated immaculate 1991 Range Rover

I bought this completely stock RR with 83,000 miles two years ago and used it twice offroad (Heppner with the PCRC and a trip to Death Valley in 2007). I then gave it to my son who set out to turn it into his ultimate RR (he has owned 4). He went berserk on parts and the smallest detail (such as changing out the plastic dash vents and the plastic door pull inserts) and then it was so nice he didn't want to offroad it - and didn't. He decided he had to have a Jeep Unlimited and bought one. I'm selling this for him.
This is the nicest 1991 RR - inside and out - that I know off, as well as one of the best equipped. It comes with all kinds of spare parts since they won't fit a Jeep and I don't need them.
It has no rust or offroad damage, but some $#%$ scratched the passenger side with a key (?). You can only see the scratch in certain light (oddly, foggy or overcast). There are no dents, or dings. Some light scratches on tailgate and above driver's side door lock (bad key aim).
A/C, heater, cruise, power seats, power windows, etc work. Everything works including the dash lights and the clock. I had the headliner replaced and the interior, including ceiling and doors, has been Dynamatted. The MB Quart speakers were professionally installed and cost over $800 alone - including the crossovers. There is a Alpine head unit, with IPod connector in the center console and Sirius Radio. A 325 watt Kenwood amp powers everything. Heavy duty professional connectors, cables and wiring throughout.
It now has 92,000 miles and i put on 7,500 of those miles (99% on the highway)
All parts are either new or have very low miles. Here's the list:
New Rovertym front and rear bumpers
Terrain Master rocksliders (should install included outriggers that may have to be modified due to the body lift)
Rovertym HD track rod
ARB lockers - front and rear - 24 spline, with ARB compressor.
Rovertym heavy duty drag link with relocation kit plus new OME steering stabilizer (not installed)
OME shocks
Rovertym 2" lift springs
EE spring retainers
RN galvanized front shock towers - 2" lower than stock for additional front articulation
Discovery rubber spring isolation pads - top and bottom - all around
Polybushes all around including bump stops
2" Rovertym body lift
EE rear shock mount relocators for additional articulation
Rockware HD rear trailing arms (not installed)
QT diff/pinion guards
1994 D-90 3.9 V8. When I replaced my D-90's V8 with a 300 TDi, Ships Mechanicals swapped out the original RR motor for mine as the original was burning some oil). Has about 85,000 miles on motor.
tinted windows - lighter on front seat windows and darker on back seat and tailgate
NRP exhaust
Ramsey 9500 winch - rebuilt in 2007. solenoid pack needs to be connected and mounted (he wasn't quite sure where he wanted to mount it)
K&N filter
relocated distributor amplifier
2 spare tires
set of chains
wired for Garmin 276 C GPS
all new hoses, belts, plugs, and distributor cap
Discovery cupholders
Goodyear 245/75/16 MTRs
rubber mats - front, rear and loadspace
EE removable tiedowns in rear load space
Optima battery
replaced in 2007 and 2008 - alternator, steering box, recored radiator, starter
HD aluminum steering protector
rear light guards
new EE drilled and slotted rotors - front and rear - with new pads
stainless steel extended brake lines
Only known issues are that the trans shifts later and harder due to larger tires confusing ECU and speed transducer (checked out by B & L Transmissions in Medford and they say trans is fine) and a very slight coolant leak at the front drivers side head to block. No evidence of headgasket issues.

Anyway, it is a beautiful, well outfitted RR and would be ideal for someone who wants a low mileage great driver/poseur or offroad/expedition turnkey vehicle
$7,000.

Thanks Chuck....

My son is going to lower the price to $5,500 to sell it as he wants more Jeep parts.

Have any more photos (interior, under the hood, coolant leak, undercarriage)? I wonder how hard it would be to take the body lift back off...

E-mail address is in my profile..

Just put bigger tires on it so it looks right.

Scott and Scott....

I'll email more pictures shortly, but it may be sold.
It is fairly easy to remove the body lift kit, but the RoverTym bumpers are integrated into the lift and couldn't be installed without it.

Hey Clark,

I'm out then, I'm not a fan of body lifts. I was thinking the bumpers just had brackets made to 'raise them'. Thanks for the photos though, looks like it is in very nice condition!

It is sold.
And, I don't like body lifts either.
And I'm afraid how much he'll put into the Jeep (fatherly worries), but I'm sure it will be topnotch when he is done.
BTW, he remarks about how lower quality and tinny the Jeep is by comparison to the RR. He also mentions how much cheaper aftermarket parts are. Price gears for a LR and a Jeep sometime.
