Military Trailers, M101CDN

Easy pickup from MAR.

Trailers for sale..
I have a few trailers left.
Fair to good condition.
A couple camo.
Tongues/fenders not bolted on.
w/Reflectors
w/chassis harness
tires fair to rough
they are USED trailers.

Surface rust only, wire brush and a 'rust converter' product will take care of everything but the springs, which are fine. Leaf springs just weren't made to be painted. (flaking) A couple have emergency brake cable issues, I figure a soakdown with PB will cure these too. Again, used trailers.

Located in Central VA, just outside Charlottesville. Will be attending MAR myself, depending on the amount of interest, I may be able to deliver to MAR. Worst case, I live 25 min west of C'ville, pick one up on the way home.

No titles, you register them as Home Made. Which they are from the
parts I sell. I will provide a bill of sale, but with no title or Certificate of Origin available, this is your only choice here in VA.
These are part of a shipment I purchased from Michele Knautz north of the border.

900 to 1000.
add'll 50. I'll assemble
add'll 50. I'll install lights, plus the light kit from tractor supply, flat 4 plug. (about 30.)
Sorry, not shopping for lights of choice, just if you want to tow it
home. They fit upside down in the bed of a FS pickup as they are.

These are workhorses. Doubt anyone could use them the way the military designed them to be abused.

Thanks.

Tom

Man, wish I was headed to MAR. I've been looking around for this very thing. Something to beat the hell out of and not worry about.

Thanks for posting better pictures. I especially like the one with all the backsides pointing up in the bushes.

Since I have rarely seen these for sale around these parts how is that you decided on the price? I have seen some Sankey style trailers for sale in Kansas city for 500.00. But I can not tell the difference between what I saw there and yours. Maybe you can educate me about this. I waited to long on the Sankey style one and am interested in owning something like this. Can you educate me briefly on what you are offering? Thanks

Glad you like the picture. I take it you don't need me to add the caption?
Price is based on the market. The low end of it really, believe it or not.
A complete description/specs is attached.
They are the only heavy duty mil trailers available that aren't ragged out, rusted out surplus from the Korea/Vietnam war era.

Any more questions, just let me know.

Nice trailers, Tom.

If I didnt already have a 1948 Knox 1/2 ton, I would be right over to get one of these.

Some similar trailers that I know of. I thought it might be helpful if people had something to compare Tom's trailers with, and make a better informed decision. Based on the price of these, it looks like Tom's are probably about where they ought to be.

click on Canadian 1/4 ton trailers, I can't make the exact link work.

Got to governmentliquidation.com and buy an M101A1 starting at $150. I just got a near perfect one for $300.

Dave is right, look for an M416 on the gov liquidation site. I had an M416 and it was great behind the Series and RRC. One of the Canadian trailers just sold on the Charlottesville CL a few weeks ago for $500. Must have come from this stash. I wrote the guy but it was sold before I got to him.
