LHD Defender 110 HiCap 200Tdi - 10,424 original miles

Itís hard for me to post this ad, as in the last 27 years, I donít think Iíve owned a Land Rover that I enjoy as much as this 110 HiCap... But the realities of life (specifically, college expenses for my two children) necessitate me to list it for sale.

This is a legitimate, time-capsule 1991 Land Rover Defender 110 Hi-Capacity pickup. Imported by Johan for me earlier this year, it spent its life in the south of France in operation as a fire tender. It is totally, completely, and utterly rust-free. Best of all, at least as Iím concerned, itís correct hand drive.

The Defender retains its original 200Tdi and LT77 gearbox. All major components are in as-new condition and it drives down the road as if it were still 1991. The 4x4 Center in South Burlington (Vermontís Defender specialists) have gone through the vehicle top-to-bottom to bring it up to daily driver status at considerable expense.

I have installed a few accessory items, to include Rovers Northís galvanized, heavy-duty bumper with the period-correct and top-of-the-line, Superwinch Husky 10,000 winch with a synthetic rope (as found on Camel Trophy Defenders of this era). These are NLA (retails at $4,539.90 with the synthetic rope). Additionally, I have cleaned up the interior, to include seats and new ExMoor canvas covers. I have installed a brand new ExMoor 3/4 tilt canvas on a brand new galvanized hoopset. The tires are brand new, as well.

Do not consider this vehicle if youíre looking to go incognito. It attracts the attention of just about every passer-by.... male, female, child, dog included... wanting to know what it is, where it came from, and offering a comment about how cool it is.

This Defender is ready to go. Around the world. Right now. $57,000.00 ono.

Beautiful HiCap. I hope these continue to flow in to the US as time goes forward, such unique trucks. Wish I had the spare cash! GLWS

Sorry to hear about that Frank. I know you love this car.

Although I have had many nice Defenders, this for sure was one of the nicest. This was the only pick up I ever saw with a mileage this low and in a condition this good. Really, I don't think you can find anything closer to new here in USA.

When I sold the car to Frank, I had NTO Wolf wheels with Goodyear tires installed coming from one the last new produced Defenders. Also being an firetruck it has some holes in the roof for lights, I replaced the roof and headliner with an almost new set from a late Puma.

You canít go wrong with this one. Here are some more pictures from when I had it and showing the immaculate condition this car is in.

Such an insanely nice truck, like a time capsule. You definitely have a way of finding the nice ones Frank!

Love it! Totally looks like the little brother to my 130 hicap (also an ex-Fire & Rescue vehicle):

Johan - what bonnet insulation is that on there? Something you installed or was on when you got it? Would love to get something like that just to help reduce noise/etc.

It is the original factory sound mat. You almost never see them in place anymore after so many years. Don't think they are available anymore.

Sold and en route to its new home.

Great buyer - hoping he'll enjoy as much as I have.

I'm jealous... but I don't have another garage to store such a nice truck. Good luck to the new custodian!
