Land Rover Defender 110

I have for sale the most awesome Land Rover Defender. Its a 1985 ex MOD soft top. It goes where I want to go, no questions. 2.5L turbo Diesel mated with a LT77 5 Speed transmission and LT230 Transfer case. When I bought it the Instrument cluster was broke and dangling along with the hand switches on the dash. The Wire harness had been butchered so it all came out. I fitted a MUD UK center console that was made for land rover. It has all the switched on it. glow plug/ start, injector pump, blinkers, lights, wipers and heater fan. This is a true UTILITARIAN VEHICLE. It has four brand new Firestone tires, still looking for a rim for the spare....new valve cover gasket, new battery, I have a new oil pan and oil filter housing gasket for it but I have not installed yet, but it does leak a little oil. This beast will go anywhere, but not in a hurry!! no radio, no AC, and best of all no rust on chassis, it has been coated with some kind of black coating and the fire wall is like new. The bottoms of the doors are rust free as well. New exhaust from motor back. The complete interior, including doors, truck bed and, bonnet (where the spare goes) are Rhino Lined. I do have the hard top for this that is included. It does need repair on a small hole on the skin, nothing a little bondo wont fix. I have the speedometer but its not installed, I pulled it out with the cluster; since I ride this on trails and 6 miles to work, I figure I don't need it. My next plan was to fill in a few drill hole that are in the body from MOD equipment then paint it Land Rover Nara Bronze. I still may. it comes with a 5'5' wip antenna also. The fan shroud broke but I put a hot weather thermostat in it and it never get half way on temp gauge. This vehicle is registered and insured in the great State of Georgia. It is untitled, but in Georgia, you don't need one if it is over 25 years old. Your State may rock as well! $11,000 OBO

Amazing just how much room there is around that engine versus a V8

I love that color. I'll say this, for a non frame off, it's one of the least corroded rovers I've ever taken a look at. Frame almost made me pass out. Hoping you get what you want for it man!!

Some peple have been asking questions, keep them coming...

The small oil leak is from around the oil filter housing and/or oil pan. The rear seal in not leaking oil. It has a new clutch that I installed when I got the Rover. It does smoke a little on start up but goes away within a couple of seconds. There are no known mechanical issues with this rover. I would drive it on a long trip, just not fast.

wow, I know this truck pretty well and they didn't do much more than a ton of paint.

why would you mount 2 round gauges in a flat place where a GPS could be installed when there's 2 OBVIOUS round spots for it at the bottom of the panel?
