Installing 200Tdi into Defender 90 Engine Mounts on or off?

I am about to install my Discovery 200TDi into my Defender, replacing the 2.5TD.

I pulled out the 2.5TD using my engine hoist with a bit of nudging.

I was wondering what is the best way to align the studs and shaft.

Should the engine mounts be on the engine or installed after the studs and shaft are in place?

Put the engine mounts on, install the engine in the car and connect to transmission and as last you put the cushions in while engine is still hanging in the hoist
