FS- Restored 1972 Series III 88" Marine Blue

For Sale- Restored 1972 Land Rover Series III 88" Short Wheel Base, Marine blue with ivory hardtop, purchased in 2003 from local Rover shop in Denver for $13,500, restored by previous owner in 01/02 with new galvanized chassis, regalvanized trim, engine, suspension, brakes, body, and interior redone. Fairey overdrive, screw on oil filter adaptor, Pertronix electronic ignition, late Series IIa metal grill but correct SIII plastic grill included, spare moved to bonnet, center console included but not installed, has been intermittently driven for the last several years but I moved into the mountains and got a more powerful D90 (which is also for sale here- '95 SW Arles Blue). Never offroad other than dirt roads.

Buying a Sportsmobile for longer extended camping trips and Alaskan vacation.

Call or email for more pics and info.

$12,000 OBO

Thanks!

Adam

Bump for a nice vehicle.

Wow what a great looking '88! I wish Rita looked that good.
Someday...

Best of luck with your sale Adam, hopefully it goes to a local buyer and stays in Colorado

Stop with the compliments or you'll get me to change my mind!

She really is a great car and I'll miss her a lot! I drove her around a little yesterday before the snow and got to remembering what it feels like to drive just to drive. No radio- just listening to the engine.

Are you willing to entertain any trades. I am looking at selling my 2002 Chevy ZR2 pickup, to buy a used series. Let me know.

Adam,

Do you have the whole lift gate? The bottom as well as the top glass door?

Liftgate

The included liftgate is only the lower portion- no upper glass part. It is designed to be used when running a canvas softtop.

looks like Mike got tired of not "having to" be under the bonnet (the comfort afforded w/ dave's D1...) and has pulled the series trigger
