Post FS: 94D90 ST with cedar strip removable hard top

SOLD Thanks D-90.com

I never though it would come to this, but I have to put my baby up for sale. So first take a quick look at the picture and then read on if you are still interested....

1994 D90 Soft Top at 80,000k, new transmission 2k ago, removable 3-piece cedar strip construction hard top, BestTop softop(needs attention at rear window zippers), bikini top, LRNA D90 roof rack with 2 rear ladders, tow package(wiring done), 2 jump seats, 7 speaker McIntosh cd/cassette system, LRNA wrap around brush bar, 2 Hella 3000's, limb risers, cedar strip center consul plate and kick plates.

$27,000 or best reasonable offer

Reason for selling: My wife and I need the money. We are getting her a new car and trying to put together a down payment for our first house. Hopefully someday I will be able to get another one.

did I make it?

Yes. Don't ask how many hours I have spent on that thing, I'll start to cry. Someday when I have a workshop I might tackle something like that again. It took about 2 years of "spare" time to complete. I think that I have pictures from the construction around somewhere. I might try to post them in the next few days.

wow!

Man what a fantastic top, you would not be interested in selling it separate from the truck would you?

Definitely sell the top separately so that you get better compensated for the time you spent on it. Dont just "throw it in" with the truck unless you get a really nice price.

It looks totally unique and really well done.

I agree. A lot of love went into that top. I would try to sell it off seperately.

Don't want to be a negative Nancy but it looks something like and old man would have on his Toyota pickup. Having said that I think it looks like you did an excellent job at it. If I spent that much time and energy on it and you plan on getting another, why not just keep the top?

wow

if I were you, I would make fiberglass copies of it, using your original as a mold and start an aftermarket top business....

...or...just hold on to the top and sell the truck as a ST. the offer you end up with shouldn't be much less than if you sold with the top. it would probably suck to end up looking at a top for a while, but at least you'd have it for your next 90!

thanks

thanks for all of the comments (even the old maid ones).....I am going to hold out and hopefully sell the whole rig together. As an engineer who mostly gets to push paper around I like building stuff like this, so I won't have any trouble making another for myself when I get another 90.
