FS 1999 Disco II white with grey, high miles

A great start for an off road project, or drive as is. High miles 257K miles runs and drives well. New heated windscreen, stabilizer and tie rod ends, recent Bilstein shocks, rotors and pads, Blizzak tires, calipers just done, new alt, battery, injectors, plugs, wires, coil packs. Does not eat coolant. No warning lights (and yes they all work). The only thing that does not work is the crusie control. I never use it so I never tried to fix it. Has twin sunroofs. Does not have rear jump seats (it is a 5 passenger). A dog ate the interior though, so it needs new seats and a few door panels if you care (I have driven the truck for years with the seats as they are). Reason for selling is that I need to buy a P38 Range Rover to get owning one out of my system, so the Disco 2 needs to go.
$2000. Yeah, you can buy one at auction cheaper, but the brand new windscreen and no issues with warning lights or the 3 amigos is a plus IMO, so it is right for someone who just wants a cheap 4x4 driver/beater.

Original engine.
Has had most ancillaries replaced over the years. In the last 2 years I have done (all new genuine parts): alt, PS pump, water pump, timing chain and timing gears, and various engine sensors (MAF, cam sensor, etc). I put a new front cover (timing cover) and oil pump on when I did the timing gears, but the block and the heads are stock and original. Oil changes every 3000. Flushed the coolant when I did the timing cover 2 years ago and it hasn't used any yet.

Make sure you read the ad before you say that.
Dog chewed interior, 260K miles, etc. etc.
Running and driving fine, but is now heating up under load. Thermo appears to be stuck closed, but I haven't dug into it and after 3 years with the truck I am moving on. I'm not digging in to see what the issue is. I paid 800 for the windshield alone last year, but when its time to move on its time to move on. Bring cash and a trailer.
Title is in hand.

OK, just make sure you want it. I don't want to hear any "Hey, a dog ate the interior!" or "Hey, why is it overheating?" after the fact.
You are welcome to come look and make sure it is what you are after, you are close.

No way Jeff - cheap Rovers demand cut-throat action! :D

I'd really like to have it, but if you seriously already have something going and really do want it for your collection I will very graciously step down with my head held reallllllly low. I **NEED A ROVER** for the Romp. It's either this one or I am driving to Portland for Matt's D1 on thursday.

This truck is Jeffs.
He has some family stuff going on, so he has a couple weeks to come get it and pay for it.

If it falls through for some reason I'll re-post.

I thought it was still a little bit up in the air, but i see it was not - never meant to be underhanded or anything.

Again, sorry Jeff! I'll buy you a woopie pie @ Big G's to make up for it..... but you have to eat the whole thing in one sitting.

No worries, we are all cool.

I was giving Jeff a way to back out if he wanted to because I wanted to make sure he knew of the trucks issues. He assures me he does, so it is his (unless he doesn't want it). No pressure.

If he does choose not to take it we'll all play the game again.

Hell... I'd be willing to go down and investigate the cooling issue, if it's "easy" I'll pay the $800 for the truck to Mike and give Jeff..... I don't know, how about $200, breakfast at Big G's and a big bottle of his choice of poison?

If I didn't have a COMPLETE '03 black interior sitting in my shop collecting mahogany and teak dust I wouldn't be so excited, but I'd love to bring this Rover back to life.
