updated the mileage...I had it incorrectly listed as 120k, it's actually 103k ( I can see the odometer now).

a few asked how bad the paint was, so I tried to compound some areas to see what's underneath...the hood and tops of front fenders didn't improve, but the more vertical panels shined up ok (didn't do whole thing, just a few small test areas). see pics here:

well, it happened...I bought it. I knew it would happen if I kept it long enough. Technically it's still for sale as I am waiting to hear back on a few lingering offers from board members who made an offer and I would honor those. If none of those offers happen, I'll pull the listing, at least for awhile as I fix a few things and see how ownership goes. My house is starting to look like a used car lot, so I am prepping another car for BaT in the next few weeks but the cash from that wont cover the D90 cost, and I really am not interested in selling my RRC. At this point, I'd sell the D90 before I do that (just an economics thing, not necessarily a preference thing, although it's hard to beat a RRC that can carry 5 and all your crap).

First thing I want to do are plugs, wires, all fluids, fuel drain, filters, and new exhaust. Paint will be the dead last thing I worry about.

Word of caution, never offer to sell a car that you know you really want.

Ha, yeah. Not exactly how I thought I'd end up with a Defender (if In fact those two outstanding bids drop out)

I have a 1988 944 turbo S silver rose. Mostly all original. If the D90 stays I won't replace it. I really wanted to get into a Lotus esprit V8. Or a FFR Daytona build.

A few have asked...

I bought the truck and will slowly work on it. I'll still offer it for sale at anytime if anyone is interested. I have two other project cars so not having a third is ok by me at present.

I just ordered a new rear side marker, locking lug nut set, changed oil/filter, compound/wax and general cleaning, removed front fogs (having ordered new set yet). Doing plugs, fuel drain and filter sometime this week maybe.

I can entertain any serious offer over $38000.

I was able to get the misfire codes to clear and stay away...new plugs and new wires fixed that (who would've thought?). The cat codes are still there though, will most likely fit an exhaust soon to clear that up. drained gas and that looked fine, new fuel filter too so should be good.

Did you have to drop the tank to drain the fuel? If so, how's the situation under there?

Dude! We should hang out! I've had two 951's (no silver roses though) and my guilty pleasure, other than the defender, would actually be a totally outdated but way cool butch old school lotus turbo esprit. I love the newer ones, especially the interiors, but there is just something about the 80's! Actually, we'd probably not get along as we are way too alike ;-) haha. Jk

If the Aston doesn't work out, you really should consider getting back into a 951. Funny, i know where a cherry silberossa is for sale too...gotta pay for this D90 somehow

I commented earlier, noticing you still were considering offers over 38k. What is the status currently?
