FS 1986 Defender 110 Van RHD 2.5na

Hey there,

I'm reluctantly going to sell my '86 110 van to finance another project. I got this Van to mess around with and to haul stuff, but I never use it. I'd like it to go to someone who can get more fun out of it than I have.

This truck is not a show truck. It's not very pretty. It's a dented, dinged, rough and tumble 4x4 that will literally go anywhere you point it. It is roughly sanded and primed in some area so it's ready for paint but it's still sporting its original white paint. It can climb a tree with the high and low locking diff. As far as the interior, it's extremely spartan and as plush as a work van gets. The back is void of anything as this is the van model - it's just cargo area now. The frame is not bad at all - there are a couple of old patches that were done a long time ago - I went through it with a hammer and it's good. One outrigger is rusted through. The bulkhead had some rust in the common areas - I couldn't source a bulkhead close so it was patched and looks decently presentable. Wheels are MOD wolfs. Tires are about 60%. Brakes are fine. Clutch is fine. Shifts just fine. No power steering but you don't need it. Let the glow plugs warm for a few seconds and it starts up every time. It may leak a drop of oil a month but that's it. Also, it has a clear GA title. The engine is the sluggish and reliable 2.5na diesel. It won't get you there quickly, but chances are you will make it. Engine was rebuilt but I don't have the paperwork to support.

I brought back from UK two years worth of oil, air, and fuel filters as well as two timing belts. You have maintenance parts for over two years.

This is not a perfect truck by any stretch. If you are looking for a cheaper 110 that is dead reliable, then this is it. It will not let you down and it's a fair way to get into Defenders.

Located right outside Atlanta
Price is $11,500

Some additional photos of the usual spots + the ones (rust/dents) that you are mentioning would go a long way. How many miles on the total vehicle? How many after the rebuild?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the response. I'll have some additional pics posted up here. There are around 170k on the chassis - I can't give a number on a rebuild as that's what I was told - buyer beware I suppose. Runs great and starts very easily so compression is there.

Everyone here pretty much knows what a 3 door 110 looks like. lol

Go ahead and get some closeup pics of the bad parts.
How are the door bottoms?
Some good shots of the outrigger rust/ frame/rear crossmember...
