This will be listed on EBAY next week. I had hoped to sell it here at a lower price for Forum members, will probably sell for more on EBAY though

Series doors are what you need.

Well, these doors are proper Defender doors, front and rear ... they have interior opening mechanism and full door trim. The doortops on these are full alloy and the glass is also different. Same as on all the WOLF defenders. Real hard to get, only used 1983 / 1984.

Series doors are completely different, no interior handle mechanism, flimsy doortrim, steel doortops that rust as hell...

Second row series door have no removable door tops so they cannot be used.

Best of luck Rivermike

By the way, the truck was sold this weekend, awaiting deposit. Going to a very nice guy in Atlanta

Hello all. This is my first post here. As Michael said, this truck was purchased and I'm the guy. Deposit sent and looking forward to getting her.

I've studied Defenders for a while now and always wanted one. Forums are extremely effective to me but I usually like to read more before posting for the first time. So I've been spending lots of time here reading. I've owned many Rovers over the years but never one as old as this. I hate the new ones hence the reason for this purchase.

Uh oh, Finished touches? What more does she need?

In all honesty, this truck will be my "urban assault vehicle". Not many dirt roads in the city of Atlanta. That said, the paved roads here are by far the worst in the country as is the traffic, red lights and speed trap situation. We have loads of pot holes, uneven pavement etc. It's really a pathetic sight. The new sedans on the market cannot possibly handle the situation here. Of course, this truck won't be my DD either.

I'm amazed how much parts availability there is for these things and how many after market options there are. I seriously considered the Jeep route just for parts availability but decided they're just too common to stomach. I needed something a little more unique.
