FS: 1969 Series IIa 109 Safari 5 Door Wagon

For sale is my 1969 Series IIa 109 Safari Station Wagon.
Price: $11,900

I bought it as a light project considering what was already done to it when I purchased it but have decided to sell because of a wonderful thing...... My neighborhood was just granted water access rights which is about a footballs throw from my house so I will be using the proceeds of this sale towards my boat fund. Having 3 Rovers and no boat, well it wasn't too difficult to decide that something had to go. Thus, on goes the Series to a new home.

I haven't had this truck long enough to provide as many details as most of you will likely have questions about but through the sale I will try my best to answer what I can. I have taken 180+ pictures and created a slideshow to hopefully give you as much detail as possible. With that said, If I can't answer your questions then you know the best way to get your answer is to come see it for yourself so there is nothing left to chance.

What I do know:
The truck is still in need of some reassembly as you will see from the photos. Nothing major to reassemble just some odds and ends (seats, window glass, door seals, etc..) Things of that nature. I have all window glass and new window felt. There are a few boxes of parts that were removed when it was painted so all of that will go with the sale whether you decide to reuse some of it or buy new. I have all the seats as you will see in the photos with the exception of one of the seat bottoms from the rear bench seat. There are two spare tires that also go with the sale for the hood and rear door. The bulkhead and crossmember are solid. Starts right up on first turn of the key. New battery. Transmission shifts nicely. Just topped off the transmission fluid a couple days ago. Needs all door rubbers. Needs headliner. Chassis is in good shape. Hoses and belts were all replaced prior to my purchase.

I'm sure there are some things I'm leaving out but just ask and I'll do my best to answer.
A couple other things up front: No, the Range Rover in the background is not for sale. No I don't want to trade for another truck or your boat. I'm planning on giving forum members first shot at this for one week before I post in all the other locations. So it won't be on ebay or any of that for one week. I'm not a mechanic so a lot of technical stuff I won't know the answers to and want to be up front about that now. If you want to come check it out let me know and we can set up a time.

I suppose that's about all I have to say at the moment. I hate to see this one go, as I do with most of my trucks, but it is what it is and I want a boat so this Series is moving on.

Cheers!

Here's a link to the slideshow. It's about 13-14 mins long and you can blow it up to fill your screen if you'd like.

With 300 views and no inquiries I'm not going to wait a week to post to other sites. I'm going to go ahead and let it ride on some other sites. Figured I'd get more responses out of the gate here but since I haven't then I'm posting elsewhere as well.

Thanks Tony. I figured I'd take Jonesy's advice and move it along to eBay as well.

When I have the funds, I wait for he right one.
It never fails though when the sweet deal comes by, I'm low on funds.
This is the truck I would take.

It was quite entertaining. Essentially some 5 post expert trashed the truck. Then there was an awesome profanity-laced response.
