FREE Series III 88

A customer of ours wants to get rid of his project Series III 88. LHD, 2.25 gas. Frame is shot and it hasn't run in many years. A complete, but partially apart project car needing all the usuals and then some probably.
It will need to be picked up in Edgecoomb Maine (near Bath) in the near future (and it won't run or drive. It will need to be winched onto a truck or trailer) It can't be flat towed or tow dollied either (loose bits).

It needs a good home or its off to the crusher.
If you have the ability to come and collect this car at the customers home in the near future email me for the customers contact info.

Thanks!

Wow, I don't need the whole project but I'm on the lookout for a good bonnet without a spare mount if anyone else is cleaning out the barn.

If he has a spare I can bring it down and you can grab it (like MAR) or I can ship it to you.
And if anyone else needs anything from up there brought south let me know, maybe we can work it out.

Thats great if you have it all sorted/ done deal. The owner asked me to still get him a taker. Perhaps he is just looking for a "back up" taker in case you can't collect it or someting. I'm just the monkey in the middle here.

Understand, I can see his hesitation incase I can't organize the 1500 mile adventure. If someone gets there first I'm fine with that, I just don't wanna make the trip and see a grease spot on the ground when I get there.

He's a good guy (the owner) he'd never do that to ya. I think he is just looking for a back up plan, just in case. I called him to clarify and he said you have "first dibs". He's just looking for some back ups in case you can't get it in a few weeks.
No worries. Nobody is going to make that kind of a trek for nothing. Man... that would S*CK.

I'd like to throw my name in as a "back-up". If it comes up you can't make the trip, I'd gladly pick it up for a project. My wife somehow finds it acceptable for me to pick up a "free" project than to pay money for a new one. I just can't understand...

Thanks KB, I keep forgetting to say "bride".

to keep it Defender related, my friends did get a picture of my truck as we rode to the reception (looking forward to the photographers' pics)...

Thats Awesome Dave! Congrats! My friends just got married and we almost used my 90 as the "limo" between the wedding and the reception, too bad it rained :P

Oh, and fellas, I'll make sure to post here if I can't get the rescue mission organized in time, but it looks like a lock right now.

Anybody wanna ride along?
