Frame Off 110 LHD 4.6l Auto

Slightly edited text from the ebay listing below with some pics. There are lots more pics (70+) per the drop box links. Work on the project was completed by two well known folks in the community. Offered at $94k. Will do better for a member. I'm more than happy to answer any questions. Thanks.

Here is a beautiful, true frame off restoration of a 1987 left hand drive Defender 110. Started with a solid donor from a 1987 left hand drive 110 with an original 3.5 V8 and manual transmission was replaced with a rebuilt, powerful 4.6 liter V8 motor with auto transmission. All new head gaskets with a new bosh block and high compression pistons installed. Truck was stripped down to the frame and sanded and coated. Interior completely and professionally bed lined for long term protection. New bulk head and take off doors, exmoor seating, wheels and tires installed. Alpine white paint professionally carried out and looks sharp. Frame and cross member solid as can be. No rust anywhere. New exhaust, fan clutch and O2 sensors. All new VDO gauges installed all work flawlessly. All lights and switches work as they should. Truck is stunning in person and drives incredibly.
Additional detail on the rebuild below as well as links to over 100 pictures of the restoration progress and finished product.
Chassis:
Wire brushed any surface rust on frame, apply POR 15
Apply Waxoyl Hardwax
Waxoyl inside of frame
Replaced bushings
Terrafirma 2 lift
HD front brake calipers
SS brake lines
Sandblasted steel wheels, prime and paint Alpine White
New A/T 235/85-16 tires
Replace front axle bearings and seals

Drive Line:
4.6 liter V8 gas motor
All new fluids,
New head gaskets
New bosh block
Rebuilt auto transmission

Exterior:
Sand, prep and paint body panels
Replacement take off doors
New door locks
New window tracks
New fender flares
Stainless steel door hardware
New rear tire carrier
New windscreen
New bulkhead
LED rear lighting
Waxoyl body cavities

Interior:
Bulletliner applied to footwells, floor pans, seat box, and rear tub
New Exmoor seating
New door panels
New Land Rover floor mats
New auto transmission console

Two year process of work with nothing over looked. Work completed by well known Rover shops and Master Land Rover technician. This build is very, very nice and is stunning in person. You can cruise easily at 75-80 mph and will be a great daily driver. Truck is turnkey and needs nothing to go to its new home. Over 60 build progress pictures and 30+ finished photos to view. You can see the detail of the build and the beauty of the truck that is ready for the trail or the country club and everything in between. Im more than happy to answer any questions. Links below to additional hi-res images.

Would his name happen to rhyme with "true"?

That looks like a nice truck; I think I saw it last fall...

Also, is that an Ashcroft console?

Looks like the Ashcroft console. Maybe a Disco shifter?

Sorry for the late reply. Lost power for a few days, tree on brother in laws home so we have a packed house here at the moment.

Yes, it is an ashcroft center console and disco shifter. Truck drives superbly. Motor is strong and veyr powerful. As I mentioned, the two shops that carried out the work on this are both pros with solid attention to detail. If you'd like to see it or get any specific images of something, let me know.

I lowered the price here some to 89,900. A fair amount of interest and questions but no takers yet. Any questions, let me know. More than happy to answer any questions and welcome suggestions and comments. Thanks.

Some of the more experienced builders here on the board have been kind enough to offer some constructive criticism, if you will, of the truck and what finishing touches would be needed to be make 'extra awesome'. To that end, the common themes were to add a cage, put boost wheels on it and add a factory AC unit to it. Low and behold, see the attached picture. I think it came out pretty great. I am going to get more pics in a week and post them but thought I would push this one up here for interested parties. Thanks....devin

Also, despite the additions, the price will remain the same for folks on the board. It will be higher on the usual other sales channels. thanks.

Only other thing I would change is to swap the wood insert in the shifter for the black rubber one.

Gorgeous! And a heck of a nice offer to members. To a non-builder/defender aficionado, it looks pretty much like a new NAS 110. Of course, we all know rebuilt as such, in many ways, is actually better than new! Great job. Glwts

I'd only change the steering wheel for a thoroughly updated cockpit feel.

Very nice! Great attention to detail. Only small thing I would add is the auto brake pedal. Easy swap

Do Love the white 110's. That bed liner is spot on! Nice job.

Going to add power windows and locks here as well. I mean, why spend less? I'm trying to get the proper part numbers for what is necessary and then install.
