For Sale Series IIA 88 hard top

For Sale, RHD 88 Series IIA 88 hardtop, also comes with tailgate (if you want to run it as a soft top). 2.25 petrol, 4 speed. This is a pretty good little truck, but has badly peeling paint and needs a loving home to fix it up as you drive it around. It runs, drives, stops and starts. It has been in storage for a few years and we have just brought it in and gotten it running and going and we have run it up and down the highway a few times without issue. Electrics all work other than fuel gauge (will likely come back to life if removed and free'd up), new battery, new tires, fuel lines, fluids. Very nice bulkhead with no rot issues at all (but does have peeling paint). It seems to take forever to load images here, but I have a bunch of images to email if you want to see them. 2 rear bench seats in the rear. Odo shows 45K, but assume it has gone around. Chassis s good but has been patched in a few places. A nice little 88 hiding under all the dirt and paint flakes.
$4500.

Thanks,
ECR

Me thinks so too. Plus everyone know how to keep'm going there. Need to get up to ME. and kick some tires. Would love to have something newer down there but tarriffs are near 80% of their assessed value. My 99 LC100 would cost ~$14,000 to bring in (before tax and reg and national ins) A 1960s SIIA will run ~$400 bux to bring in....

I say do it Redrum. Talk about fun. I would love to drive any series around those parts. Soft top would be amazing.

Just found out that this truck's engine is a low on compression so we are going to put it on the back burner. Sorry for the work up and let down, but it ran well and we thought it was a tuning issue we could work through, but it appears an engine rebuild will need to be in this 88s future.

Working with a couple of potential folks that want the truck and a new engine installed. If those go south I'll let you know.
