I think this is my old truck I had 10 years ago. I was in Dallas then. Does it have diamond plate on the rear bumper step?

Any interest in trading for a 1971 chevelle? It needs a new transmission.

Yes, looks to have the diamond plate on the rear step. Any insights to share on it?

It was a great truck 10 years ago. I missed having it and bought a black 97 last year.

I was thinking the same thing. You may want to change that so that people want to actually deal with you as a seller.

The Carfax says "1-Owner" vehicle and is from 2008...Kinda odd, maybe seller can elaborate?

Seems odd you don't show a few more pictures too.

BTW, love the domain for sale page - "THIS DOMAIN MIGHT BE FOR SALE. HOW DEEP ARE YOUR POCKETS?"

why not add $2000 and then say "price negotiable." That's a better sales technique...

I apologize if I seem bitter, it is not meant to be aimed at you guys. I just have sold a few bigger things on the Internet, and on occasion it brings out every shifty trader from all around the globe. With life being so busy, I just don't have the time or patience to deal with individuals who are not legitimately in the market to purchase. Again, sorry if I seem like I was rude in my ad. This forum has been nothing, but a GREAT resource and the very few times I have posted - everyone has always been helpful.

The CARFAX: it is the one I purchased when doing my due diligence before I bought it - that is why it ends at 2008. If you ran a new one today, I am confident it would be updated with myself as the owner. I have the a folder with the CLEAR title and records since I purchased it. Oh yeah, I also have the owner's manual. If someone want to run on, and share it I would appreciate it. I am just too cheap to run one.

It does have a diamond plate (silver) on the rear bumper. The guy I bought it from bought from the original owner in TX. The guy I bought it from used it throughout college and then some.

I have tried to email pics (43 compressed) and as expected it bounced from inboxes. So for those of you interested in detailed pics.

http://www.ringing.com/picpage.html

Speedometer intermittent does = odometer intermittent, but I should add that what it would do is register 0 and then all of the sudden jump to the correct speed. This was rare, but often enough that I called the dealer. I was told it is a sign that the speedometer and odometer were eventually going out completely. Just recently, I have noticed it doing it more. I can add that it must have the odometer being slightly off, but with as little as I have driven it since I purchased it, it would not be minor.

If I failed to reply to any of the ?s, just let me know again.

Thanks,
Alex

"There is going to be ABSOLUTELY no negotiating on this truck. I am selling it for exactly what I paid before all my expenses (repairs, transport, etc)."

Seriously, can't you people read?
Alex, your price must be good if the reseller wants it for $23,500, he'll slap at least another 20% on top of that.

He might "slap" but remember he stands behind the sale, as in a Private sell is Hit and Run.

Tim is a standup guy that will buy your truck and never ask you another question or come knocking on your door if something goes wrong. Not to mention he will send you a check thats good and all you have to do is watch it get loaded on a transporter... Just sayin

Nope, no partnership unless Alex wants one. You're more familiar to me than he is at this point.
The first part of my message was pointed at Ollieskins who asked about a trade for a Chevelle when the ad clearly says no trades.
The part directed at you referred to your offer of 2000 less than his "non negotiable" price also clearly stated in the ad.
So I guess you answered my original question. No, you can't read, unless it's just your used car dealer chutzpah which is more likely.
HB

Alex: good luck with your sale. Looks like a nice vehicle at a fair price.

Damn Harlan... I think you are getting a little too emotional with a truck that is not yours and a seller that you don't know. Why do you care?
