Possibly wins the prize for the saddest non insurance wreck of a D90 in North America. I'm shocked at the rust and rot on it. Laugh at the missing fan belts, can't convince myself that the rollcage is straight. Almost convinced myself that the chrome ball was buggered as well.

I know IL winters are hard but this looks like it was parked in the ocean and left there.

Unfortunately the OP's spammer like story of hard times caused by alleged family issues, aren't likely to sway the folk here.

Can't wait for his journalistic flair to go into overdrive on Ebay.

I don't really care about the condition or the outcome. I just want to know why three people bought a car.

Just because something needs to be repaired does not mean it needs to be replaced.

As stated, just offering perspective. I know plenty of Series owners who would have that thing on the road with new footwells, some rear crossmember repair, and some other tidying and be smiling down the road while some others would toil for years with a $50k rebuild and never get to drive it.

(Still doesn't make it worth $20k though)
God bless the souls of those Series owners that would undertake fixing that frame and bulkhead in situ after paying $20k for it.

If I was the seller I would just keep it. There is a great restoration shop in Atlanta that could have this thing back to showroom condition in a few months.

Notice how our Journalist OP writes just like one of those scammer types you read on CL or Ebay. I don't believe the three person pregnancy hard luck story for a minute.

Also classic:

Terms of sale: Seller shall not be responsible for the correct description

If that is the case, he might want to edit the ad to say:

Arles blue 90 in mint condition. Low miles as shown on odometer.

Barry what were you going to do with this lump of coal? Pretty ambitious project there.
Oh yeah what ever happened to that cancer ridden Arles you and Mark went in on years back? The one from Texas.

I was going to use it as a lawn ornament.

As for the Mark truck, we spent the summer working on it, then drove it into the ocean. It's now a destination for scuba divers.

Looks like it might be destined for a vin swap onto another truck.

Another restorable NAS destined to become a poorly painted 110SW with LED lights and 20" rims.
