No doubt! I'm really happy for him and I hope who ever buys it(step up rovertrader!!!) will share the details of its restoration with us.

I also think...If you wouldn't buy it today for what you can sell it for, you probably have no business owning it.

Cheers

Depending upon what his reserve is, there might be no meat left on that bone. That eliminates a lot of the possible buyers who are looking for a flip.

I haven't been here a few days and apparently missed a lot...
However, I can say I was second to the table when it initially sold, and the seller has in fact stayed true to his word in offering it to me when he decided to sell. But, like Ron, I have been priced out.
I have regretted selling my CT110 many many times, and stay in touch with the current owner. Life sometimes gets in the way of our wants and desires...

Perhaps he just wants the very best for the truck. I mean if you'd be willing to pay $55k+ for a truck that can't legally be driven on public roads, then you'd likely have no issues throwing another $55k at it to properly restore it.

Certainly.

Also, if it was sold and I were the winning bid, I would take possession and then keep my head down for a little while.

How you figure? It's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Let's face it these D90's are only worth so much because they're rare and people are willing to pay for them. It's not because they're built so well or have history, or have a ton of amenities.

I have no issues someone taking the risk of buying a POS truck and turning out to be a rare truck.

The same goes with the ROW Defenders...

IMO a $1500 flip to $45000 and not making the reserve... greed.

"properly restoring it" will destroy its value.

Should have sold it for anything over $20k... return on investment is already insane and washing your hands on this debacle would be ideal.

Totally agree - it would be cheaper and much better IMO to grab a regular Disco and make a tribute.

Dropping it off of a trailer while cruising down the highway hasn't increased it's value.
