For Sale 1983 Defender 110 200tdi

For Sale: My 1983 Land Rover Defender 110 5 door County Station Wagon with 127k documented miles. Mostly original with some practical upgrades. I purchased this Land Rover in England in 2009 with 107k miles and imported it to the USA where I registered it in New Mexico with a clear title. Since buying this vehicle I have upgraded and overhauled most of the vehicle to make it a reliable dependable vehicle for remote off highway travel.
Engine: Land Rover 200TDI, fully rebuilt with (new rods, pistons, fuel pump, timing belt, water pump, thermostat, coolant hoses, silicone intercooler / turbo hoses, reconditioned cylinder head).
Trans: LT77 reconditioned gearbox.
Transfer case 1:4
Axles: Salisbury rear axle with Detroit locker, open front axle, recent wheel bearings.
Frame: Original Solid frame with NO repairs, NO penetrating rust, No holes, just some light surface rust .
Body: All original body panels and paint with a great 30 year old Land Rover patina.
Doors: Original solid doors and frames, NO rust, all original door cards with exception of back door(rust holes on lower part of door frame and no door card).
Bulkhead, Floor boards and seat box: No rust or previous repairs.
Suspension: 3" Terrafirma heavy duty springs, long travel shocks, mounts and spring retainers.
Seats: 12 passenger original seats.
Defender 90 Spare tire swings away carrier.
Wheels: 16" original wheels with BFG KM2 285/55/16 tires.
Clutch: complete Land Rover replacement clutch assembly 5k miles ago.
Starter motor: New replacement 15k miles ago.
Rock sliders: Mantec (have original door sill panels).
New Radiator replacement 20k miles ago.
This Defender is in great condition for the age and is a great example of a Defender 110 that runs and drives well with all the usual problem areas in good condition, but is 30 years old and therefore is not perfect. I have lots of history with this vehicle including original build / spec sheet, all paper work from UK and import paperwork. Please call me with any questions, any inspection welcome and I have lots of pics for those with a serious inquiry. Asking $30,000.
Here is the link in Denver craigslist http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3818724605.html.

Thanks, Chris #505-553-3689.

Neat. You're local to me but that's the first time I've ever seen your truck. You must live near Matt.

Nice truck. Do you happen to have the total height handy?

I moved to the Black forest area of Colorado Springs in the fall and drive the 110 loads, I don't know Matt but had talked to him when her was searching for a D-90. I missed the Denver get together recently but would like to meet up for a beer sometime or a day on the trail! Chris.

Overall height is about 82 inches, I installed Glynnlewis4x4 challenge suspension setup which gives amazing articulation when I need it while maintain a stock look.

Here is the link to the shock towers and rear spring locators and shock mounts.

These are the spring installed but I used a alternate shock.

I can vouch for the quality & condition of this truck...& the "special" paintjob on the engine.

Congrats! At full price Someone got a killer deal.

Seems the price points are cooling down a bit. This truck sounded like a nice solid original with a healthy number of man hours and nice upgrades.
