For Sale 1970 Series 11A/BCB V-8, 5-Speed

This Series is like a brand new thirty-six year-old truck with updates. The above picture was taken in front of the stainless steel Disney Hall in downtown Los Angeles. Full frame-off restoration completed in 1998 by Peterís Marina Motors (www.englishcars.com). V-8 Engine, 5-Speed Transmission, Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Axle, Spring & Bilstein Shock upgrades completed in late November 2005 by BCB Off-Road in Paso Robles (one of their last ones). All parts are new or rebuilt with the exception of the body and frame. The aluminum body is in great shape with a polished (rather than painted) metallic surface. Star diamond-plate shields on the two front fenders provide roof access, and concealed interior compartments have been fabricated for out-of-sight storage. The interior was used in the film trailer for "Jurrassic Park." Invested cost: $50,000 over 10 years - This is now an urban safari and expedition-ready Rover.

Highlights:

∑ Chevy 283 V-8 Engine uses Regular Low-Grade Fuel
∑ Serpentine Belt, HEI Distributor
∑ GM NV 4500 5-Speed Transmission
∑ Rover D-90 Brakes, Transfer Case & Axles
∑ Air compressor
∑ Air lock differential
∑ Hill holder
∑ Stainless steel gas tank
∑ Safari vented roof
∑ Alpine windows
∑ Custom side sills
∑ Removable custom side window screen guards
∑ Period off-road lamps
∑ Light guards
∑ Defender side mirrors
∑ 3' x 4' concealed rear storage area
∑ Rear swingaway storage with spare tire, 2 extra fuel cans and Hi-Jack

Best of Class: July 22, 2001, 11th Annual Central Coast British Car Show
Runner up: 1999 British Wings and Wheels Santa Monica Airport Show

This Rover is a daily driver in Los Angeles. E-mail for a full parts list and for a test drive: oldemettle@nospamcomcast.net http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ratDisney1.jpg

Ok, the polished aluminum is kinda cool looking. Does it have a price?

Ok.. lets try this again... The man is selling a truck. If you are interested in it, please feel free to post up. If you wish to debate the heat retention property differences in metals, by all means start a thread in Chit-Chat.
