Feeler: Ferrari 308 GTS

Helping my Uncle sell his Ferrari 308 GTS i believe its a 1985, so it is fuel injected.
I may not be 100% on the facts but thats why this is a feeler thread.
-Runs good, 69k or 70k original miles
-Located in phoenix, no rust
-Paint is in decent/good shape, not amazing, but not bad
-Interior is in decent shape, a crack here or there. can get more details and pics
-No known accidents
-Trunk (front) has the bend where the hold up rod is from trying to close it without removing the stick.
-Clutch and transmission are good
-Drives very nice
-Dogleg gearbox (1st is where 2nd normally is, 2-3 and 4-5 are straight lines.
-Pretty sure the roof center section is removable, like t-tops but 1 piece.

All in all its a good solid 308 with gray paint on red interior. Located in Phoenix AZ, Price is around $25k obo.

Post up and PM me if you are interested.
Don't know if you guys wanted this in the flea market or here, i see for sale threads of other non rovers here so i thought it was acceptable.

I'd love to swing by there, but the car is in phoenix and from my past experiences walking into restoration shops, its just awkward.

My favorite F-car. My dad had a hardtop GTBi when I was 17. It was sneaked out many times and I am still alive. Good lord..... Great color! GLWS

This has been on my to-purchase list for a loong time, but I just bought a '78 450 SL Convertible Benz. With the two land rovers, I'm already at 3 vehicles.

IMO, $25k feels a tad steep given the condition. I recently saw a mint 308 for $28k with similar miles.

Those Ferrari required the Timing belt to be done every 15,000 miles or 3 yrs whatever comes first. ( that is a $ 3,000-$4,500 depending where it is done, and certainly a price reducing item )

Just as an opinion and not crapping on your for sale , but while you have going on for you the QV and FI, the colour will kill you.

Yes the top comes out, that is what GTS means, if it was a hardtop coupe would have been a GTB.

$ 25,000 is a fair price for a GTSi of that year and mileage but if it was Red/Tan, Black/Tan, Black/Black or Red/Black. TUBI exhaust adds $ 1,500 to 2.000 while ANSA or BORLA reduce price , but not sure how much of an impact.

ALl the other colours drop an easy 2,500 to 5,000 and according to my years of ownership went kind of this way ( from top less loss of value due to colour )

Pozzi / Tan
Black / lipstick
White/Tan
White/ Lipstick
Grigio / Wine
Yellow / ( any combo )
Silver / ( any combo )
Green / ( any combo )
Any Repaint

Good Luck with the sale

BTW, if it was Red, I will actually deal with the "Divorce" and have it with me, of all my cars I ever had, that was my favorite, because I did not care if parked on the street, caught in snow, too drank to drive it home, etc and was my DD for 3 years *S*

I like the gray exterior, I understand not everyone does not like it, but $25000 is the starting price, there's some room to talk for anyone interested.
