Unhappy Feeler- 95 D90 SW

My apologies if this posting is in the wrong forum...

Will be heartbroken, but practicality will most likely win this one. Located in NJ, [Potentially] for sale is my 1995 white D90 wagon with about 72K miles. Picked her up about a year ago from a gentleman from NY, and has been my reliable, daily driver since; I am the third owner. I bought it for me, but unfortunately my two kids are outgrowing it quickly, and is just not as practical as I need it to be (Ok, so I was a bit selfish when I bought it- denying the early mid-life crisis was setting in).

The truck is reliable, runs well, shifts smoothly and is mostly stock (upgraded to the Hella headlamps). Has new alpine stereo, with XM (will include the orig Clarion, if sold), and the AC blows cold. Has new belts and recent tune up. It does have some rust on the bottom rear tailgate, a couple bumps on the driver door, and 2 small areas of flaking paint on the tailgate (see pics); otherwise she looks OK.

I'm on the fence about the sale, but thought I'd throw a line out to get some input- I'll be asking around $28K for starters. Any thoughts...?

Looking at your avatar, it looks like one of your kids still looks pretty young. In what way are they outgrowing it? Are the jump seats too small? If you have just 2, I would check out the Exmoor's Lock & Folds that SafariResto just posted about: http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ad.php?t=32232

We have a ST and the kids get in and out of it no problem actually now in the summer the 5 year old hardly uses the doors. But it is a 3rd vehicle with the main family rig being a Suburban which is very family friendly save for trying to parrallel park it.

I am hoping to keep it as long as possible. It doesn't loose my interest as there is always something to sort out on it (haha) and a trip to plan for (maybe I'll get my lockers done for RotR). My daughter wants it when she is 16 so that's another 6 years. Charles' kids are even older and they took a pretty big trip down to FL in his.

Your SW looks like a nice truck and being a stock SW seems like it would be more comfortable and practical. If you really like it, I'd figure a way to keep it.

I have a 5 and 8 year old. For my SW, I traded my jump seats for a ST forward facing bench. I then bought from the UK the new style seat belts and the brackets that fit in the corners of the SW top. Works great and feels stock.

Keep it and buy a honda accord from the 90s. You'll regret selling it and have to buy another

Keeping- 95 D90 SW

Thanks all for your input- going to keep her. Just picked up an '06 HSE that should solve the growth concern and keep the wife happy (somewhat). Nice to have another rover addition to the fam to challenge my roverhicular learning. Now that I am re-committed to the 90, need to start saving for ECR beautification .

Thanks again for the words of reason.

Re-listing 1995 D90

Putting the truck back on the market to fund a 110/130. Posting here before listing on EB/ CL. Pretty much the same condition, now with 89K miles; stock truck, still my daily driver and everything works. There is some rust on the front floor board and bottom rear door, but rear x-member, chassis is soild. Will try and get some pics of the typical trouble spots uploaded ASAP. Please PM me with any questions/ specific pics. Gonna start at $28K again, but am open to offers. Thanks.

Haven't seen much progress posted here on that truck in 2 years - what have you done to it so far?
