Ex-Military 1989 Defender 110 - Must Sell, Make an Offer

Ex Australian Army Land Rover Defender 110 Perentie FFR. Exemplifying the very best in practical hardware, the Perentie 110 was developed specifically for the Australian Army, boasting increased payload and a galvanised chassis with rollover protection.
1989 year model with collector plates.

The only reason I'm selling is because I'm going through a divorce, and would like it to go to a good home.

The vehicle is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and is registered with collector plates.

Details:
- Land Rover 110 4x4 FFR variant
- Right hand drive
- Galvanized frame
- Additional roll over protection
- Two-door Soft-top
- 3.9 litre Isuzu diesel engine
- pintle hook trailer hitch
- additional 24V electrical distribution box

Welcome to the forum. A price is required to post in the for sale vehicles section here, so even if you just come up with the lowest number you'd accept for it you'll be good. You'll also want to include many more photos. Also just FYI it likely has too many non-factory mods to allow it into the US.

What non factory mods? The Perenties came with the Isuzu Diesel stock as well as the galvy frame..

Thanks for the Heads-up. I'll upload some more photos when I get home later tonight, but the vehicle hasn't been modified. It is essentially the same as it came of the line when it was built. However the Land Rover Defender "Perentie" was specifically designed for the Australian Army. I can provide all my paperwork on purchasing it from the Department of Defence, but any buyer will have to confirm with USCBP for importing.

Get a certificate of actual date it was built. That will help any potential US buyer.

If I were looking for a 2 door 110, a Perentie is exactly what I would look for. Awesome rig.

I'm sure they were. I could only imagine how much fun it would be though to educate a USCBP agent who looks for those things as red flags.

So where was this assembly line located? I have heard these Aussie Military 110s had galv chassis and Isuzu diesel engines when built, but I can't imagine Solihul building them that way. Were they built down under? Thanks for the clarification. Price?

All Perentie Rovers were designed and built in AUS.

Here are some more photos, and it was valued at just over $30k when I imported it last year. But I'm willing to take less as I need to sell.

Quite interesting , I just looked one of these aussie defenders up in my vin calculator and they shop up as follows.

SAL - Manufacturer code: Land Rover
LD - Model: Defender (for early models: Ninety, or One Ten)
H - Wheel base: 110 inch
A - Body type: 2-door: Pickup, hood cab, truck cab, or soft/hard top
Z - Engine type: 3.9 litre Isuzu diesel turbo (Australia only)
1 - Steering and transmission: Right-hand drive (RHD), 4-speed manual (LT95, or other)
B - Model year: 1985 to 1987
F - Assembly location: Completely Knocked Down (CKD), non-UK location
573789

Seems Landrover has all spec from these trucks on file which means the config of the truck can be identified and therefor is original

Very cool with the factory Isuzu 3.9 - that's the 4BD1?

So what does Completely Knocked Down mean? Are these vehicles taken off the line, shipped to AUS, broken down and then built back up with things like the galvy chassi and 3.9 Isuzu?

They are shipped as parts "kits" to various locations around the world where they are assembled locally. Was much more prevalent 20 years ago.

Yes. And a turbo can be easily added.
