As a note, as these vehicles were made specifically for the Australian Army, the Australian Government considers them Defence Controlled Goods. In order to export them from Australia you require a Defence Controlled Goods export permit/license so you won't see too many of these in North America.

I have my export license and imported this as my personal vehicle, but have to sell it for financial reasons. However as soon as I can afford to I'll import another one for myself. Having said that, if anyone else wants one in the mean-time I would be able to export it to Canada and they could import it from Canada to the US.

Feel free to contact me directly at vancouverlandrover@gmail.com if anyone is interested in importing some 110 Perenties.

There are also a few 6x6 variants that are available.

So the VIN is clearly visible on the galvanized chassis?

There is a VIN on the compliance plate and a corresponding Serial Number on the chasis. It was accepted in Canada and was also given collector status in British Columbia. I can provide anyone with all the photos and documentation that I have, but you'd have to confirm it's eligibility with USCBP before importing.

I'm also in Vancouver, which is relatively close to the land border crossing with WA State, if needs be could meet with USCBP there to have it inspected (if that is a requirement?).

They are available in Australia at the moment. Would be able purchase, and bring it over to Canada.

Here's a thread on expo regarding the Perenties with some more pics and what not. If i were looking for a RHD ex mil 110 then these would be the one I would be going for. Plus, in oz you don't have the rot issues like they do back in blighty and since the frames are galvy from the get go you're better off there..

That's what I thought.

I've read a bit about them on the 4BT forum as there is an OM617 subforum I check every now and then. Sounds like they are robust engines with some tuning potential.

Know of one powering a 101. Just a fantastic combo.
Here's hoping this one gets to the US (excluding the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia)

remember, timing gears- no belt or chain!! And if I remember correctly, Isuzu is the largest manufacturer of diesels in the world...
There was an Isuzu powered 130 wagon floating around BC, Canada a few years ago, built by LR for ferrying people back and forth to the airport.

As requested, here is photo of the engine. I'll have to take some more photos of the interior on the weekend.
