No problem, I'd be really interested to hear/see what you do with the truck once you get it - truck build-ups & restores, I'll be watching.
The D-90 Source > Defender & Series Technical Discussions > Defender Technical Discussions
MY 90 has died.
This details the most annoying problem that occured with the 90. Took me weeks to figure out. The filter on the bottom of the fuel pick-up was put back on at a later date. The lift pump blocked and had to be replaced.

Well, update for the curious - the little one is on its way over (hopefully) calm waters! I'll post up more details when the truck is stateside and the importation is complete.

There seem to be a few containers missing from the back rows...hope your truck wasn't in one of the ones that went overboard!

There was much curiosity over here too, whole families made watching the loading an afternoon out.

I might have seen these guys skulking outside Jay's at the last Happy Hour. Stay away from my boat!

BTW, Mike, that picture of the mother sitting on the sidewalk with her child is one of the funniest and cutest things I've ever seen.

Just a point of interest...I'm pretty sure the moderators may have a problem with you using the word "cutest" on this forum. Please refrain in the future. Acceptable substitutions would be "badass", "kickass", or "knocked my dick in the dirt".

Just trying to show you the ropes .

PS - make sure that even when you do get the 90 in hand...you still must leave your avatar as-is. It's my favorite.

PPS - eta for your 90?

Just picked up a letter full of goodies from the post - arrived on 4/28, but I haven't had a chance to pick it up 'til now

Mike, I will mail out the necessary documentation as per instructions, ASAP.

I'm looking forward to adding the import docs as well as a Virginia title and registration to the pile of MOT you sent. I'm going to make a "vehicle binder" like the classic car guys do so I can take care of the vehicle history.

Glad the documents got there alright.
If you send the registration document back signed just as soon as you've finished with it for importation purposes it will be much appreciated.

It arrived!!!

Christmas came early this year and Santa (Doug) arrived on his sleigh (White 130) and quite thoughtfully had the D90 off the trailer, idling and waiting for me when I got to my apartment. Sorry to make you wait in the rain!

Much excitement on my end, having now driven the Defender a short tenth of a mile or so to the parking lot at work. Quite thankful it's not at the bottom of the ocean anywhere collecting mollusks

Now to just wait for the arrival of some paperwork and I'll be able to drive it around town without making a fuss!

Sweet. Ed I just remembered I have some series roof sides here that you might be interested in. No glass, but I assume you can get some cut cheap. You'd need seals and some paint too I guess. Anyway, yours if you want them.

Congrats Ed! Can't wait to see it in person. You going to drive it to HH on the UK plates? Don't think the series roofsides will fit, but madcowdungbeetle on here was selling a nice pair of d90 window sides a while back. The windows are very helpful when making right turns in a RHD truck.

Don't think they'll fit a 90, it's longer from the back of the door to the back of the body than an 88.

Anyway, glad it arrived safe and sound. What are your plans for it? Bearing in mind it was an early press release vehicle...
