defenders and diesel engines For sale

i have two land rover defenders about to arrive in vancouver bc from the uk. both are right hand drive and both are fitted with 200tdi diesel engines. one is a 1983 one a 1984 and so getting them into the usa is legal and easy.
the 1984 is one 3 door model with 5 speed lt77 manual gearbox, full length brownchurch roofrack, firestone tires. happily cruises at 60-70 mph and will return 30 mpg at 60. all in all its in good solid shape and will take you anywhere you need to go $14,000 USD

the other is a 1983 5 door 110 county seating 12 people, 5 speed lt77 manual, again with full length galvanised rack, just outfitted with upgraded axles to give disc brakes all round along with anti roll bars which improve the handling no end. new rear shocks, 200tdi engine (as above) removed to replace all rear seals on the engine and replaced just before it was shipped with new clutch. great tires all round and chassis waxoiled. ready for wherever you want it to take you. $19,000 USD

Also available are two land rover diesel engines. a 200 tdi out of my own discovery in the uk with less than 15,000 miles since being rebuilt, runs like no other 200tdi i have had and better than just about all the 300tdi's i have owned too. comes with everything for your conversion from radiator to clutch. $4500 USD obo

the other engine is a nissan 3.5 litre td. puts out 140 hp as standard. add an intercooler to get around another 25-30. it comes with a conversion kit for it to replace a discovery V8, including an auto transmission. its very economical and very powerful with more than enough torque to tow pretty much anything you may want to. $5250 USD obo

I would like the Station Wagon, but would have to see pictures of the usual spots...door bottom frames, overview of the chassis, bulkhead, ETC. Lastly for me to even look at it it would have to have been imported into the US.
As you know it is illegal to import it unless it has its ORIGINAL engine. That said, you should not have trouble if the Vin id says it was born a diesel. I am sure that the customs officials don't know the difference between a 2.25 Diesel and a 200 TDI.
Can you supply me with the Vin #

vin on the station wagon is SALLDHAG7AA193477.

hope that helps, it is stated as a diesel (heavy oil) on the english V5. i dont have a problem importing it into the usa for you. i send rovers over all the time and have customs agents who can take care of everything in the usa.

i know that 2 of the door bottoms have some rust, my plan is to have that fixed, though i could equally take an offer as is. the rest of the chassis and bulkhead are absolutely solid and i can provide pics when it arrives here in vancouver.
