Sounds like you're not interested in selling the vehicle, Jimm.

There are many of us who are ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A GOOD DEAL. We know what the rigs look like...the details make or break the deal. You don't want to waste your time...we don't want to waste ours. Post pictures that show why you are asking your price. All of these rigs need work. That is a givin. It sounds like you already have the pictures...put them out there. Then the rest of us can decide if it is worth calling you. Rather than you deciding if we are worthy. From the tone of your posts so far...Pack sand.

You are new to Defenders yet you have TWO of them?

You have a two or thing to learn about Defender owners.

Price reflects replacement of bulkhead due to rust and quick sale. Vehicle has some rust. Vehicle appears to be reasonably complete and original. New springs and shocks. Rubberized liner on interior and under vehicle. I believe the trans has been recently upgraded (buyer to verify).

This vehicle is better suited to a Defender enthusiast. I am new to defenders and this forum. I just acquired this vehicle and realize the bulkhead is more than I am can tackle with my experience. It is my understanding bulkheads are available. Pics available. Can arrange for vehicle preview, or can take to local shop of your choice for inspection. I do not know how to post pics yet. I tried upload, but do not see.

If you have serious interest you can send me an email and provide your tel# to discuss. Thank you for your interest.

Len,

Imagine a shot bulkhead with rust.

If you have serious interest, contact me to discuss. No negative comments please.
Well I think you are seeing the posts based on your tactic. But what would you expect. You joined the board brand new, and then offered little. I just sold my D90 for a little less than your D110, and I went through a couple of "serious" idiots but that's the price to pay. There's not a lot of Defender buyers out there, so best to cast the net far and wide. You've gotten one well known poster to support the truck, so leverage that and get a deal. Post pictures of the ugly and let the experts post solutions. The wolves are circling.......

The guy said he did not want to post any more pictures. Then he asked anyone really interested to give him a phone call. For additional pictures.

And the wolf pack mentality scorned him for it. Way to go guys! I think his approach was reasonable enough. I can envision all the wasted hours discussing the possible sale and ownership of a defender with overbearing enthusiasts.

Want to get to the front of the line. Give him a phone call. I doubt anyone's E-words are going to make him drop the price to 20,000. No matter how good looking your wife tells you, you look in a defender. Or mistress for that matter.

In placing my first ad here, I was concerned and remain about negative comments that may be posted to my ad from forum members or “tire-kickers” who demand more, or waste my time, yet they have no direct interest in the vehicle.

Some members have provided helpful comments with merit that I had not realized in posting a vehicle for sale in this forum community. I had assumed everyone would disregard the bulkhead, since I have stated it is shot and reflected replacement in the price. I overlooked that this forum consists of knowledgeable Defender owners who may want to attempt to retain the bulkhead for repair, or deal with it at a later date which I did not consider.

It’s quite simple and easy. If you, or you know of someone who has serious interest based on the information provided, they should contact me to obtain whatever satisfaction they need and to discuss a deal. I have already provided detailed pics & information promptly to a few individuals, and some have made offers.

I may consider partial trades, or whatever makes sense.

I hope it sells and goes to a good home but at this point I still don't see why you wont post the bulkhead and underneath pics just so people can see. The truck looks decent otherwise. You might as well list the issues you know of.

Seems to me that if you posted all the details, the cream would rise to the top. Only serious people would call you, because they would know what they were getting into.

And since this is an enthusiast site, we are pretty well connected into other Land Rover venues and clubs.

Hold on guys, the 110 this guy Marcel from VA was selling for $38,000, had 70k, not a spec of rust other than surface at the bottom of the doors and the driver tub were the roll cage attach, had winch, service records as thick as a book, etc etc etc

I saw the truck in person, and the seller got trashed for not following the rules, his truck was as close as perfect as possible , so why someone will buy this one with bulkhead issues ( to say the least ) without killing the Seller on the price?

What am I missing? his approach might be right, he wants to keep all of us ( VULTURES *LOL* ) away from his 110 and avoid tons of calls to be told, WELL..XYZ dictates $ 20,000 max for yours....

Yeah dunno. From looking at the campground map my guess is everything is within walking distance and you are on your own if you don't use the "provided" camp space. But I'm just guessing.

Another inexpensive 110 arrived on that auction site, a scam for sure, the funny thing is one of the pictures looks a lot like one posted here. It is taken from a different angle but how many 93 110's have the same trim piece missing on the inside front passengers side? Is that a common piece to be missing. I am sure that it is just coincidence.

This guy is OK as far as I know, he offered the 110 to me and I was tempted, but, if he'd concider a swap for one of our tdi double cabs he'd have a deal!

Detailed Pics

Here are more pics and description to properly post it here for sale. This D110 NAS #246 looks to be mostly original and complete.

Vehicle was lined with coating underside and interior floor area which shows preserved well.
Bulkhead contains the most rust and I suggest replacement
- Frame has some rust but appears to be ok, or repairable in the event of restoration. (you decide). Difficult to tell if undercoating was applied over any existing surface rust.
Ding or two on bottom side. Rear cross-member had been replaced (a so-so job). Also, front cross member on drivers side should be inspected closer.
Front axle housing looks like it can be cleaned-up & has small dent in diff housing.
F&R Brake backing plates should be replaced.
Rear axle (Salisbury?) and castings looks like can be cleaned-up for restore.
Brake lines, etc typical rust/crust
Springs and shocks & stabilizer new (Old Man Emu) w/lift.
Exhaust shows rust most at clamps. Rear silencer/muffler should be replaced.
Transfer Case leaks a bit but I guess they all do.
Trans 5spd I believe had been upgraded 25k mi ago approx? (reverse is below 5th). She shifts nice & tight and feels like new. I assume clutch was done then also.
Engine 3.9L V8. I drove her 5+ hours freeway home and she ran strong. Feels like it’s running out of gas now on demand. I changed fuel filter and no resolve.
Hinges show typical rust and should be replaced. Bar where rear pass door hinge mounts shows some rust.
Body appears ok and I do not see any prior damage. Looks like there is a small amount of filler/patch done just below fuel filler and a couple of other small touch-ups.
Top appears nice.
Front doors appear to have been replaced at some time. Rear doors show rust that had been covered-up. I recommend replacement for restore.
Back door looks very nice overall.
Tub? (truck bed) looks ok with a couple of small holes where rear seats mount. Rear sill looks ok. Most of interior is liner coated and well preserved.
Cappings? (top around tub) has a few small rust spots.
Cage looks ok. Had been coated with liner.
Front door sills show rust and painted over.
Seat boxes appear ok
Battery boxes appear ok
Seats appear ok with typical wear & tear on back.
Battery may be draining when parking due to off-road light switches?
Headliner sags a bit
a/c seems like it works. May need recharge.
Console box is Tuffy Box with radio (not included unless mutually agreed on).
To include original side step bars and mud flaps (not shown in pics)

You inspect vehicle or have inspected for your satisfaction. I can bring vehicle to local shop of your choice or local D-90 members shop in Redding,CA if you can arrange with him.

I am willing to discuss reasonable offers or trades/partial. Email me with your tele if you have interest. I will answer questions, provide more pics or discuss a deal directly with serious interested individuals via email or tele. ONLY. Cheers!
