I'll take it! It's exactly what I've been looking for. So how do we do this?
I could use your guidance on US importing.

Is it a real "1981" or in title only?

It has a Defender 110 dash and gauge pod, not a series set up. Was it a conversion?

He said in the listing it has a 1992 chassis and the bulkhead's been replaced........ so it's a franken-rover.

Not bad, I like the long 2 door trucks.

Hey crew. I'm the lucky buyer of this truck. Thought I'd chime in just to get involved in the conversation. I'll be driving it back from Montreal to South Carolin in a couple weeks. I'll be sure to report back with some newbie enthusiasm - I'm a first time defender owner. Can't wait!

Congrats!

Might want to replace the drop arm ball joint (or at least the boot) before you leave based on the picture.

Picture number 11 I believe. just so you know where to start. Looks like a pretty good truck. I too went to Canada to pick a up a LR, and drove it back to GA. Make sure all your paperwork is in order or crossing into the USA will not be fun. LOng gone are the days of a smiling US Border Guard welcoming you home to the USA.

I've bought a couple trucks from Michele- nice folks, and good solid trucks. Keep the D-90 board info/contacts at the ready for a long trip with border crossing for your virgin run- good luck, and enjoy!! Stop by anytime, and welcome aboard. Oh, and youy may want to consider one of those Sankeys- wish I had...

...well, we weren't able to close the deal. So I'm back on the hunt for a defender. I'll be expanding my search to include 90's since there are so few of these 110 gems out there.

I want to thank Michele for her patience as we tried to find a workable payment arrangement. If someone on the forum ends up getting this truck, please rub it in my face by posting some pictures of your adventures.
