D90 Project (Feeler)

*I'm posting this for a friend

He's thinking about to sell his defender project. It consists of:

chassis, sandblasted and waxolyed inside and out (looks beautiful)
bulkhead, great shape, sandblasted painted red
near perfect rear tub
complete soft top roll cage
stock axles
lots and lots of smaller stuff
title (salvage)

All this stuff came from a slavage 1995 (maybe 94) d90. Any thoughts on what this might be worth? If anyone's interested... send me a pm and I can put you touch. Everything is located in CT. thanks.

I've had a few questions about what's included. Here's what's not included:

no seats
no dash
no bulkhead 'stuff' (pedal boxes, heater, etc.)
no top
no interior
no engine

also, its a roller, not just parts. just about everything else is there and is good to brand new condition. He's been picking up parts for some time. I'll get a more detailed list and some pics when I chat with him. Most of the items are from the salvaged vehicle (low miles vehicle, engine fire), or were purchased new.

thanks for the interest.

About 8k. It will cost minimum 12k additional to finish.

I would say that it is worth about 10-12k. Titles have fetched 8-10k before (completely burned out hulks with no usable parts). Someone would want this to "legitimize" a grey market truck.

do the frame and bulkhead match the title, or are they different?

Yes, the frame and bulkhead and title are all from the same truck.

I think 5-6000

And I might be interested at that price.

I think with a salvaged title that $6000 might be about right. (and the title is probably the most valuble part of that). Sometimes selling the pieces separately will get you more than selling it as a whole.

Thanks for the estimates... so far I think Ron was right on: 10-12k. Wait. Am I biased? Having seen the stuff (its nice), I was thinking $8-10k.

For all those who asked... I'll try and get my hands on pictures this weekend.
