Cummins 4bt, SIIA 109 5-door

My SIIA is for sale. $21k as is. Possible partial trade for nice classic.

Needs transmission. Other than that it's great truck. I will give someone a chance to purchase truck as is, and make transmission choice that they want, without a premium.
If I add tranny, price will increase, naturally.
Trevor reckoned the transfer case was ok, and could be sorted out without much fuss.

Here is Trevors thread where he discusses issue with tranny.
http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ad.php?t=37127

This is thread of previous owners for sale
http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...&highlight=109

I will post some pics that I took, either on my way back from Denver, or just having fun with the truck.
NY.
I never had so much fun in my life, in the slow lane, as with this truck. It was a joy to behold, and I took my sweet time traveling back, at 55mph.

For questions about current state, best to contact Trevor Griffths @ Roverlab as truck is located there. I think he might be away until Monday, the 16th of July.

I had no issues registering the cummins diesel in NY. At DMV girl started to ask questions about diesel, and supervisor who was walking by heard this and asked her why she was hassling me --- truck was a 1971.

My ctc is karlodonoghue at gmail dot .... com

Thanks Frank. All four driving tires (and spare) are McCreary Super Lug 9.00 x 16LT bias ply tires. They are load range E. These tires are 36.3Ē overall diameter. All five tires are mounted are onto NATO/Wolf rims and are balanced. Put 2000+ highway miles on them and they are fine. Road noise not an issue.

Hi Karl,
Thank you very much for your reply.
That's very helpful information. I have been trying to find out more about those tires
I really hope your 109 finds a great, new adopting family.

Off the market

I will take this off market, until I get her up and running again, with new tranny and everything sorted, and post once done, end Aug-Sep. Thanks for interest. Karl.

So did/is Trevor doing the rebuild for you? Perhaps we talk or shoot me a pm once it's back and running. Had a mishap with my Series and we'll see what the insurance company does/says but it may be a sign to upgrade to a 5-door that I can fit the family in anyhow. Plus I'm obviously partial to pastel green (in the '71 vintage too).

Oh no!!! I hope you and everyone else is ok! Once you cash the check from the insurance company, I'll gladly clean-up the series from your hands!

Hi again Karl,

Sorry, but I cannot find any of these in Load Range E...
Their website says they have a LR = D (3030#) and also a LR = G (4275#).
Load Range E would be great, if I could find it.
Would you mind to check the markings on the tires ?

Thanks !
