Alvis Saracen 6x6 APC....good grocery getter or armored schoolbus

1950-60's Alvis Saracen. Runs and drives. $22K
Shows 1364 miles, Its has original carburators/air-cleaners (has Holley carb on it now). Was upgraded by previous owner to modern ignition coils. Its has both original battery boxes as well - in photo you can see the batteries to the right of the drivers seat without the covers/boxes on. Also have the original crank-handle for manual starting but. Also has full operators and maintenance manuals as well.

Saracen has gun turret complete with gun mount, periscope, gunner-seat, etc. Has major battering-ram on front, looks original equipment.

Would make perfect grocery getter.

Freaking awesome. Where on earth do you find these things? Are they legal to even own and drive on the street?

Heck, you could shop and carry home a years worth of groceries with that from the looks of it. And still have room to shop at Costco.

It's a manual preselect. So not a manual or an auto. They are all the same

I came here to post a sarcastic remark about shopping at Costco with this thing.

There was one for sale a few miles from here, don't know what happened to it.

Not quite. I have an older home with a generous sized one car garage. Aside from the utility and storage part, I have my grandfather's old 87 Cadillac and my Harley in there. The Rovers are outside.
I've considered getting rid of the Caddy as I don't drive it anymore. But sentiment prevails.
