Alpine White '96 Discovery w/R380 - $3,600
Up for sale is my Alpine White 1996 Discovery I with R380. It has no sunroofs to leak, manual cloth seats and jump seats (7-Seater). Its Pedroís old truck that I bought back in 2013.
What he did:
Here are the things recently done to the truck by Carlos (carlosz) and me... mostly Carlos.
We took the heads to get milled, pressure tested and cleaned. Composite gaskets were used.
Installed ALL new:
Champion spark plugs
K&N air filter
All power steering hoses
All coolant hoses
exhaust gaskets & studs
sever duty fan clutch
TerraFirma HD Springs
TerraFirma HD Shock Towers
TerraFirma Shock Tower Securing Rings
The truck has, (5) Discovery XD rims on (4) 235/85-16 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO tires (spare has stock size tire). Tires have less than 5,000 mile. (I have put about another 20k on them)
The AC and radio work as it should.
Here are the less appealing portions of the truck:
The overall condition of the truck is fine. It has rust in the typical Rover placesÖ C-pillar, footwells, battery tray. I havenít looked at the rear tailgate floor panel, so I donít know if that has rust. (Same, the sills are rusting now also)
What I did:
HD Steering bars from RN along with all new tie rod ends
Rebuilt Steering gear (box) along with all new power steering hoses
DC front drive shaft (grease-able)
LR front brush bar
Hella driving lights wired to factory harness and switch
Magnaflow cat-back exhaust
New rear mud flaps
New spark plugs (again)
Changed fluids in front and rear axles, Swivels, T-Case, and tranny
Changed rear brake pads
Replaced PCV and hose, I have new valve cover gaskets if I get around to it.
Replaced rear roto-flex joint and bushing
Replaced Pass Side front 02 sensor
Replaced Headlight connectors and bulbs
Repaired windshield wiper parking switch
Just replaced the front output bearing (and seal) on the T-Case to cure a noise problem I had. Oil that was drained was clean and bright. There is probably more that I canít remember.
Inspected not that long ago in RI.
Recent torn ACL (along with tears in three or four other things in my left knee) forces sale, no clutches for me for a while, going to find a nice DSG to scoot around in. (Like a mk5 R32)
I am open to offers, my driveway is full, and I need something to get me from Portsmouth, NH to Coventry, RI.
75% of all Land Rovers ever made are still on the road...
the other 25% at least made it home.
