98 Discovery I FS in NoVa

I need to make room, so I'm selling my 98 Discovery w/205k on it. I'll miss it. It's been really good to me, and it would be great to find a good home for it.

The good:

- Just passed VA inspection
- On current Nova emissions
- 7 seater
- Good tires on 5 new wolf rims
- ARB bumper
- Warn M8000
- NRP exhaust (still sounds nice)
- K&N air filter
- Optima red top
- New-ish power steering pump
- New driver's side cat installed
- New water pump
- Front sunroof actually works

The bad:

- Rust in the c-pillar bases and oxidation around the body
- Has a few dents/scratches
- Sunroofs leak
- ABS amigo comes on intermittently
- Cruise control doesn't work (thought that might get a chuckle)

The truck's a good runner. It cleans up pretty good even with the warts. I'll throw in some extra parts like an extra alternator, K&N recharge kit, and oil/filters for an oil change. I have the crossbars in the bag for the roof rails. I might have some other parts that I'll throw in.

Truck's located in Northern Virginia, and I'm looking for $1900/offers. You can also email me at jpandlp@cox.net

Thanks,
Jon

Ooops - I forgot to add that I have an extra programmed key fob and some key blanks, too.

If I can find it, I also have the Discovery CD with owner's manual and other goodies.

Sorry to see you listing it, Jon. I've known that truck (and Jon) for a loooong time.

For those that might be interested, Jon's a good man and the truck will be as described. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from him.

Tell me about it...Tony shot this in an email exchange lest I don't think I would have looked at it. Now seeing it I'm wondering if I can successfully buy it and hide that fact from April. Looks like a good running D1 with some miles left to go. Nevermind that the ARB, winch, and wheels pretty much gets to you the asking price. GLWS, if its sits for too long I may be hitting you up Jon!

Even my daughter likes it, big ARB and all. Let me know if available to view around lunch time on Friday. I'm traveling until then.

GLWTS. Sounds like a real fair price and coming from a good guy.

My son and I recently completed our search for his first truck and we ended up with a Disco. I have been really really impressed. It far exceeds my initial expectations. In fact I'm the one now asking ask if he'll swap trucks and he take the NAS on occasion.

Thanks for the compliments - I have a couple of interested parties, and I'll post an update soon depending on if any of those pan out.

Blasphemy! You mean you like climate control that works and such luxuries as hearing the radio other than at a stop?!

I'm feeling myself slipping to the dark side. But that's okay. There's some good guys on your side.

Russell - as mentioned, I'll post on the status. You're welcome to come by or meet somewhere on Friday to take a look. I'm close. One thing I forgot to mention is that the wires in the back are for the aftermarket CD changer. I haven't plugged it in for some time, but it comes with the truck. I'll plug it in and test it when I get a chance.

Thanks,
Jon
