97 NAS D90 ST-Badge # 0632-AA Yellow-36,286 miles

Purchased from Starwood Motors, Dallas, Texas in May 2015 with 35,858 miles on odometer. Mileage as of 9/21/2015: 36,286. Registered in North Carolina. Clean Car Fax report as of 9/21/2015. All scheduled maintenance is current. Land Rover NAS Defender 90 30,000 and 37,500 mile recommended maintenance performed on 6/18/2015 by Chris Ward, an experienced LR Defender 90 mechanic at A C Automotive in Winston-Salem, NC. Rough Road Control Module replaced by North Dallas Imports in March 2015. Service and all parts invoices paid for by current owner are included in purchase. Vehicle was transported via covered carrier from Dallas, Texas to Winston-Salem, NC and was received by current owner on 6/11/2015. I am asking $73,000 for my Defender, the same price I paid for it in May. I will share a copy of the Bill of Sale with any serious prospective buyer. THIS VEHICLE IS OFFERED ON AN AS IS/WHERE IS BASIS WITH NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
This is not a "Project" Defender; it is instead a 97 NAS D90 ST that is ready for you to drive and enjoy. I am including in this post a few of the 90+ photos that are only a click away on Flicker.com ( see pdf for link or for photos use this link: https://www.flickr.com/gp/136951670@N03/1VR1BT ). Also You will find on this pdf a detailed description of the features at the time of original purchase and listing of all major features that have been modified and/or added by me and the 4 previous owners. After viewing this information if you have questions or need more information, just make a post and I will respond. Thank you for your interest. harrythetall

Thank you for getting those gawd awful rims off that truck. Hopefully you took them to the recycler so they don't ever find their way onto another Defender.

Raub,
It has amazed me the range of opinions on the Fuel Wheels and Nitto tires that came on my Defender. In general, the younger the person who saw them. the more they were liked. Like you I think the original Tornado wheels and some Michelein AT tires look great on it. Given the continuum of opinion, I decided to include the Fuel wheels and Nittio tires in with this sale of my D90-kind of a nod to the "Have it your way" slogan. The same philosophy on the Moto-Lita replacement steering wheel and the extended seat bases. As a tall guy, I love the 14" (diameter) Moto-Lita steering wheel and the extra length of the extended seat bases. But if the buyer wants to take these out, the original L.R. wheel and the regular length seat bases are included in this deal. Harry

Any member of defender source.com or the Rovers North Forum buying this Defender will receive a $3,000 discount off the asking price as long as the deal closes during the month of November 2015. Also note that the oil and filter were changed on 10/29/2015 at 36,353 mile.

Good luck with the sale. Though I'm not in the market for another D90, I am curious about the wheels that were on it before. Can you post a pic?

Javier,
The Fuel wheels remain mounted with the Nitto tires. I am attaching some photos as you requested.

Nomar,
My research indicates that the extra wide wheel arch eyebrows are made by Terrafirma and available through Rovers North, Atlantic British, Safari Heritage Parts and perhaps other dealers in North America. They were on the vehicle when I bought it.

Wonder what brand they are. The Terrafirma arches seem to have fewer fasteners, or faux fasteners, or whatever they are..

TF110 - Terrafirma extra wide wheel arches

The Terrafirma Arches apparently requiring drilling however..

"They are straight forward to fit very neatly, simply align the new wheel arches in place, mark screw holes, drill (cringe) and fix."

Here is Mark's truck (Arcadeus). I think he has the TerraFirma units. Totally different spat with only 7 connectors each. They are a bit wider, with less radius arch, and better looking imo.

As of 1200 EST on November 4, 2015, I am taking my 1997 NAS Defender 90 ST off of the market. It took a serious prospect to make me realize that I am not ready at this time to walk away from a life time love affair with Defenders.
