Verner, that truck is very very clean. Someone should really jump on that. I was wondering where you applied the sound proofing material. Were you happy with the results and would you do it differently if you ever do it again? I've read under the hood makes a big difference but i see you didn't go that route.

I've got 105K on my 97SW and thinking seriously about doing some sound proofing of the three doors, firewall, tub and under the hood.

Clay,

It made a noticeable difference, although my expectations were a little high in the hopes of making it similar to a Disco. I completed 100% of all floor space to include under the seat cushions, I also attempted the doors, however the second layer would not stay on and would fall down making the window unable to roll down all the way (need a very strong adhesive). If a guy were to get serious i would think the bulkhead/firewall would make the most difference, but that's a lot of work getting it to that point. I also never got around to the bonnet, so I can't commit on that either. The brand I used is called second skin and seems to be a quality product without the high cost. All in all it was worth the cost and time.

Badge Q

Very tempting. Arles Blue would look good next to mine. Question - are those badges on the sides of the fenders pop riveted, glues or affixed with screws?

No....due to life circumstances (the good kind) I have decided to take it off the market and keep it. I think I will learn from others mistakes instead of kicking myself in the ass a couple years down the road wishing I wouldn't of sold it.
