Better than new. Look at the bulkhead. Only issue would be 97 300 tdi. Can it be titled everywhere?

In NJ it can be according to DMV. Diesel's are exempt from inspection after 5 years...

If I had room for a project I'd be seriously tempted...a '97 ST (manual nonetheless w/ the 380) with a 300Tdi and a galvy frame. Pretty much the dream setup. Plus all the attention to the bits & pieces pc or galvy'd...nice work Derek, sorry to have to see it go.

I think it's is a bargain. Most of the "heavy lifting" is done!!!

It is worth nearly twice that in parts and mostly labor. Another $20K for a new engine, diffs, and trim and you are still talking an awesome deal IMHO.

Looks like it was done well and correctly.........congratulations on the effort. Sorry to see you can't finish it.
