97 D-90 price?

New to the forum. I have always wanted a D-90 since I first saw the NAS D-90 back in 94. I have been looking for a Beluga Black 97 for some time now. What is a fair value for these trucks now? What do I need to look for and watch our for? I have located one but it"s a long way from me and I'm trying to determine if it's worth it or should I keep looking. Thanks for any help you guys could provide.

There is a guy on this site that has something to do with a horse and a black Defender that can probably give you all the info you would need and then some(that was for you Barry)

If I read that correctly they want 40k. A little much. They pop up just keep and eye out. Ultimately the value is worth whatever your willing to pay....

I know the owner of this place and I think his D90s are over priced. Usually clean trucks but pricey.

Seeing as it is very original '97, has AC, a good looking top and is !!SOLID!! underneath (less a little oil leak) that truck is probably worth every bit of the price..... if you want to pay that much for a D90. That chassis/axle etc with a little simple green and a pressure washer could be eaten off of without getting any extra iron in your diet like most trucks.

I doubt you'll find one much more solid and unmolested.

I paid $34k for mine 6 months ago. Same mileage. I found it in Vegas. Clean, original, southern truck, no rust. Came with a badger soft top and fiberglass HT. I looked a long time for a good beluga black 97. It seems like people pay a premium for a black 97.
Hope this helped. Run a carfax on it, so you know where its been.
Good luck in your search.

Truck was is "OK" shape, not a 40K truck. Needs lots of cosmetic repairs. Not 100% sure but might have even been in a wreck at some point.

Thanks for the info Mark. John also looked at the truck and thought it could have been repainted. They are not moving on the price as I did make an offer. At this point I think it's more than I want to spend. They also are very hard to deal with,(not return phone calls, email, etc. ). Another member on the board has a very nice 95 for sale but I kinda want auto. I'll keep you guys posted if they come down. Thanks for all the input. The internet is amazing.

Mark when I spoke to the owner he said he wouldnt go below 39,500 again I thought it looked like it had been resprayed although they said they didnt paint the car. Something a little off about this one.

John, I know you own the owner but I've talked to several people who have inspected cars there and they've all got some sorta "overspray/respray" comments...I also looked at a G4 Disco a year or two ago there and was told that it was never in an accident but that's not what the Carfax and Police dept that made the report told me...

I have, however, taken a look at several trucks there myself and they have been very clean. So, maybe it's hit or miss.

Listen I know the guy i never said I trusted him or that he is a friend. My point was that the salesman there suck and I could speak to the head guy and see if there is a deal to be had. Ive bought two trucks from him that I had checked out by four oaks and both turned out to be good ones. As I mentioned to both Mark and Chad he buys a lot of his cars at auction and to be careful it had a clean car fax. If I gave the impression Santa Moncia Rovers was Copley than you misunderstood me and Ill be sure to kick your ass at the next happy hour.
