King Starboard is great because it is black all the way through, easy to router and UV protected so it doesn't fade over time to grey. It was designed for boats.

Curious, approx. how heavy was that sheet of King Starboard?

Never mind, they have a weight calculator on their website. Looks like for a NAS D90 basket the King Starboard would be 104 lbs. Ouch!

I don't know the exact weight, but 104lbs seems much higher then what I recall. I did trim the sheet to fit the basket and also added 4" holes around the cross bars for tie down access. The 1/4" was stiff enough that I could have 4 adults on top at the same time..... Found it to be very useful for watching fireworks on July 4th ;-)

Does the exhaust wrap provide any useful function? Does it keep the heat off your feet? If it does i'd be tempted to do it to mine.

Who knows, but it's already been bid above what it was listed for sale for here. Nick - gonzanc here - bought it, created about 30 for sale parts threads in the past few months but would never say what direction he was going with for the truck. We had to assume we'd see the truck for sale again in just a few months. It's a crazy truck that's for sure!
