'95 LWB 300TDI manual (not mine)

If I only had the room... ;-) ( not mine, no relation)

Found this on Spokane's CL. 160k with a 300TDI and manual gearbox for $16.5 obo. Could be a nice set up. The obo is key.

Not really. 12,000 for 300 tdi conversion on average. The CL add says 5 cylinders???

You can get a Tdi and R380 swap kit for ~$5k from rovers north. That price would be justifiable if the truck was in better shape.

Agree to disagree.

This would be a good truck for someone at $14-15k if the motor/tranny swap were done with new. Most people that want a diesel classic could probably build one and at this price I understand your thought of this being overpriced. But it's a turnkey tdi manual truck, and barring rust issues that it may be clear of, it might be a good deal for someone. The seller should have made an effort and washed it a bit, but in all, it looks pretty straight and clean. Just my .02

Agreed. but at 85 dollars an hour, or whatever you charge yourself how many hours do you think it would take? let's ask Nomar?
