If you are interested in a truck posting it here before you send a deposit is a sure way to make sure you never get one.

Poor Goldilocks. So much to learn.

I am not hot for this one, as it is north of what I am looking to pay, I did reach out to the seller to get more info, if that info can help another board member, great.
Relax, I am not posting ones I am very interested in on here. Thanks for the advice.

A mostly rust free 94 or 95 in the 24k range. I don't want a perfect 90, I want a running project...but rust is my number 1. If it needs interior work, body work, ect...that is fine.
Now unless you are here to help me, I would appreciate you putting your energy elsewhere and out of my search. Thanks bud.

All depends on condition, maintenance, and mileage...but from the looks of it a CA car with sub-100k miles at $28K would be probably a decent/average deal. Anything under that would be a good/great deal, but at that price I don't think you can go wrong.

Make sure you get service records and run a vin check to see if there's any title issues in the past.

Thanks Jason and I drove it the other day. Good records exist for only the current owner and PO but not all the way back to the first owner. Supposedly an engine rebuild w/owner #1 and clutch at 80k mi w/owner #2. No real rust & most bolts replaced with SS. Has an aftermarket muffler but will need tires & interior carpet replaced. Recent tune up was done. Transfer case and oil pan both leak but not a lot.

I'm not crazy about the color and would prefer a metal roof, oh and since it's the holidays all for under$24k. But as described above for $24-25k?

I'm not sure if this would be an option, but if you can find out where the vehicle was originally purchased (and at which dealer serviced) they may be able to dig up or print out the service records. I know they can do with this newer Rovers...the issue I see is that maybe it's been so long they may not still have them. But probably not a big deal either way.

If you can get it for $25K jump on it!

Transfer case has leaked on every Rover I've owned (except the LR3) so that's to be expected. Tires are a consumable so I'd say that's a blessing so you can put some rubber on there that you actually want.

From what I've heard, seller is not willing to go that low - otherwise another person in this thread would have theoretically already bought it.

Beluga black is the best color out there, btw.

What's this about the carpet needing to be replaced?

It came out of Alpine, NJ if I recall.
