Question '94 Defender for sale - need advice

OK, guys I have a '94 Defender 90 for sale in South Texas. I need to sell this thing asap.
131,000 miles
mechanically sound
Has an ARB bumper
Warn wench
New 32" tires
New soft top
Old crappy Discovery seats as replacements
very little surface rust underneath
a mediocre (at best) paint job has covered some rust on the drivers door possibly more
It is the victim of "Rover Burn" and as such has a salvage title
The dash is now diamond plate and really looks pretty cool
There is no carpet, door paneling etc inside. It is bare bones.
Additionally some of wiring has not been completed for the driving lights and wench

It does run well. I just installed a new ignition switch and clutch.
Picture Link

My questions are:
What is a fair value to sell it for. I have been asking $18,000 locally, but am fairly negotiable.
I am too high?
Do any of you have any interest in this truck?
And at what price would you buy it?

I intend to get more pictures up in the next week or so as I have time.

Seems fair, does the wench come with the truck, or are you just warning us to beware of her?

I think you should be closer to 14 or 15k. Looks good from the single pic. Post a few more pics. Show us the stuff that needs attention, any rust, door bottoms, rear crossmember and the bulkhead.

The wench goes with the truck.

Yes, this was on the auction site in Dec. I tried to sell it, but the bids were horribly low. I'm not a dealer but have a friend that got it listed for me.

15K is not out of the realm of possibility. As you can tell by it being in the auction I do need to sell it.

It has become a point of contention with the wife.

Oh, and wow, first reply from RoversNorth! You guys do a fantastic job. As a side story to the forum. The clutch went out this weekend so I took it to my mechanic. He found a clutch kit for $890! I about blew a gasket and called RoversNorth. Proline clutch kit $259! Saved me $600. Not to mention they were the only place I could find the ignition switch at all! Well done gentlemen! Well done!

This is the double salvage truck from that auction. From what I saw of that dash and butchered discovery steering column, I question the condition of the bulkhead behind it. I think it had a rhino lined interior too. As a complete truck it's probably worth the sum of it's parts assuming they're in decent condition. Doesn't the interior have rhino-lining or something as well? It's probably a decent project truck for someone at $5-6K.

If you want better money, you're gonna be way better off parting that thing out and selling off the title and VIN stamp on the frame.

I'm basing all this on the pics here, before someone calls me a complete dick.

That is the truck alright. No rino lining interior though.

I was unaware it was a double savage, if that is the case.

Regardless, it runs and looks good. Maybe not to a Land Rover expert or purest, but it does turn heads.

I'm thinking the photo was taken with a silly wide angle lens or similar.

That's funny, and yes that is my truck.

The axels are fine I took that pic with my iphone.

Thank you all for the PM's. There has been quite a bit of interest in more pictures. I don't have anymore available at the moment, but once I get it back from the shop next week I'll post some more. I'll see about pulling a few from the other thread about it at the auction.

More pics I found. The backseat is from a jeep and has no seat belts.

If anyone can get Carfax reports at a discount I'll gladly order one and post the results here.

Judging by your last post Mark - even if this was still for sale - it would not be suitable for you needs. ie a complete "beautiful" checker plate dash

see the pics here in previous messages...
