I don't even know why I'm responding to this, but there is no duct tape on the vehicle.

Wade,

You came and posted on this thread, when you could have logged off and never looked back, clearly you wanted to see the backlash or tell your side.

You have been a part of the forum a while.

Not sure about duct tap, but there were some issues from the previous owner that I touched up with paint- I honestly thought I was helping you out- sorry if it wasn't what you expected.

Seriously dude. Three seconds ago you didn't have a truck. You're just lucky this didn't happen to you.

Relax Barry. I am lucky, and feel bad about his situation, but that doesn't mean the explanation from the seller isn't worth hanging around for.

I do have a question about this. Why not take it back and resell? If he offered to return and eat money and you feel the truck is worth it then why not?

The reason I ask is last week I sold a g wagon for a friend via eBay. It was my deal and the owner didn't care what I did. Anyway I sold it and the new owner came from Oregon to pick it up and drive it back. The tranny gave him a massive problem 90 miles away. He called to ask me about tranny fluid and told me what happened. I said if he wasn't happy I would give his money back. He was floored on the offer and took me up on it. I had the truck towed back. I figured it wasn't worth the aggregation to not take it back. I towed it home and am fixing the issue.

Was I dumb to take it back?

This again is why I think everyone should see a car with their own eyes before buying.

I think it's obvious there was deception here, and Jason was the first to call it out.

Nice price but needs a good inspection.
When you put one photo up on Craigslist (that isn't current), ignore all of the local people who want to come see it, and immediately take a cash offer from someone who offered sight unseen, that you knew that was the only way you were going to sell this thing.

Golden, are there receipts for the rear crossmember replacement, galvanized fuel cradle, etc.?

Let's see a pic of the fuel tank cradle, btw.

Good thing I copied down his listing I guess!

Yea right. What about the new rear cross member. You sent me a receipt at 1:20pm TODAY that shows the rear crossmember was replaced in June of 2008!! That's 5 years ago!!! That's not new anymore!!!

I'm sorry if you are dissatisfied with the truck- I am not in the business of scamming people. You really seem like a nice guy and I truly am sorry that this deal did not go as smoothly as had I hoped. I don't think you got a bad deal. I think you can sell this thing for more than what you paid.- I did not want to chime in to this conversation because everyone throws in their 2 cents, that's why I didn't list it on this forum. Again- if I have upset you, please accept my apology & I hope you make out well with your new aquisition.

-Mike

No, no....totally different truck. Galpin bought that one, swapped in a new 3.9, and it was a GREAT truck. He sold it recently after his daughter decided not to drive stick.
