If this guy had been straight-up, said "it looks good from afar, but it's got rust in a bunch of places. here are the pics.. here is what I've done.. here is what I should do.."

Honestly, objectively, is this a $17k truck? $13k? Less?

You know it's a scam when you offer them there car back 5days after you buy it for $3500 less than what you paid for it and they say no

Aside from the rusted out frame and the crappy respray job, how is the truck mechanically?

Not sure. When the truck driver pulled it off the truck and into the lot we were all in disbelief just looking at it. No one has driven it yet.

Yep, but what's a fair price for a rust whore? At what price point do you just say it's worth buying for total refurb OR for the rare NAS bits and clean title?

Ive bought several off Nantucket for 20k or less depending on the condition with equally as low if not lower miles

If you think you have a case to make, then say it. Most people here are open to logic and reason, if it's made clearly.

Pictures don't lie. There's no way if you duck tape and spray paint something you can consider that a legitimate fix. Come on man.

Did I call you a heretic? I just said if there's a second side to the story, feel free to say it. I didn't say it with spite or cynicism, nor was I trying to set you up. You decided to jump in after all the commentary, like you felt you were treated unfairly. If that's the case, then you're free to say why.
