Just went back and re-read this ad. How do you like the detroit in the rear ? Found them for $315 for 110 salsbury rears w/free shipping and was considering one.

It's great -- hearing it disconnect is a little disconcerting the first few times you hear it, but otherwise seemless. The usual arguments apply, though around the lack of selectivity vs. the lack of air pumps and lines. I'd do it again, though, and plan to with the 110. You're of course welcome to drive it anytime to see if you like it.

For the salisbury, though, I beleive there are other options as well. Revor is the expert on them.

Tony,
May want to take you up on that test ride. Would like to hear what a detroit sounds like when it "unwinds".

count me in.

Doug, are the front's 24 spline like the D90? I am considering / re-thinking my plans for the lockers in the D90 and making the 110 my main wheeling rig...

Unless the drivetrain got exchanged in the process.... no.... I think the 10 -> 24 spline change happened in roughly '93 timeframe. So your gears might be ok but the lockers would not work unless you swap the axles (to let's say Disco axles? Those must be cheap these days! ).

Charles,

Loic is on the money. You have the very heavy duty 1 ton cv's but the very weak 10 spline axles. After what I saw yesterday you are thinking of making Janey your main truck ? Another consideration is the ARB you have won't work in the Salisbury. So you would have to swap out both axles to use those lockers in the 84 110.

Tony after three days of rain I think we should find some mud and take some "marketing pictures" of the 90. Mud is very attractive on white trucks.
Western Highways is due in tomorrow- already have the arrival notice... (don't ask).

Well, the original plan was to wheel her "lightly" and stick to the 90 for the "hard" stuff. I had no intentions of lifting her or lockers or anything - just some armor.

But I like wheeling Janey for many reasons, and I am starting to think I should just use the 90 for mall cruising / posing and outfit Janey instead. It's too damn expensive to do both. I guess I'll see how I feel after I wheel the 90 with the 4.11 gearing and lockers.

Back on topic. Any more bites yet Tony?

Tony,
Time to make room in the driveway. A854 EVW has cleared Customs, Epa and Dot.

There sure is a lot of mud around- might get dirty between the docks and Annapolis.....

Sweet. You have to produce at least one picture..

There are always trail rides, but I'm going to be carting the kids to NC for a dance competition. You'd need a member to let you tag along - maybe Loic would take you. Don't be messing up Tony's ride though!

That's better than your last offer which was, I believe, "a kick in the ass"

I'm close to taking this back to stock and ebaying it, which I really don't want to do.
