94 D-90 Truck

For Sale My NAS Defender-90 #1091
I also have it listed on CL

Cons,The truck conversion lacks finial body work, paint, tires and inside the head linner needs recovered, it's missing a few small bits and ARB compressor.

Pros, No Rust, the motor came from ACR in the UK and is a 4.6 conversion with 13k miles. It sets on OME Springs, Bilsteen Shocks, SG Drive Lines, Rover Tracks HD Axles, Rovetym rear linksl and rear A arm extension, ARB lockers, , Mid dash assembly with air guage, clock, plenty of non used switches and Clarion AM,FM,CD w I-pod hook up. The entire inside is well insulated and the floor is covered w rubber, its very quite. Black 5 bar plate on fenders, hood and rear quater. The doors are steel and they are new along with the tailgate.

I do have everything except the stock doors to turn it back to a SW and the way its built it wouldn't be hard. I need to check on the top. I'm asking $26K

Back up for sale. Maybe I'm just too good at math, but if the truck was sold in June, 2012, how did the truck go through a 6 year, $55,000 build in just 12 months? Plus it seems like almost everything they list in "their build" was already included in the sale of this truck last year (here) for $26k??? Plus, in the engine pic, it looks like the bulkhead (passenger footwell) is still the original green, right?

Mileage: 87,883
VIN: SALDV228XRA941215

Description:

Finally! A Defender you WANT to OWN AND DRIVE! This custom, one of a kind, Defender was built by a business executive to enjoy every day AND go anywhere:

Power: Check (Not the weak 3.9 or 4.0L motor....4.8L with 300 HP! IT IS FAST AND WILL DO 110 MPH with Ease!)

Original COST CAST Block from British Compact ACR.

Very rare engine block built as a HIGH PERFORMANCE Upgrade to the Stock Block. Very few people in the USA have put the money down to this conversion / upgrade. Engine was professionally installed, married to a rebuilt transmission and front/rear differentials.
The ARB locker pump is not installed but the truck is plumbed for the pump as well as all the gauges and electronics installed and ready for use.

The new motor (with matching modern defender speedometer and digital odometer) has only 9900 miles on it!! Brand new odometer/speedometer put in truck with completion of engine and drive line to record actual mileage.

This truck is similar to the Defender in the James Bond film SkyFall. The project was started in 2006 with a clean, accident and rust free, 77K Original miles REAL 1994 Defender 90. Not your custom built early 80s, illegally imported right hand drive junk. The truck spent its life in Texas and Colorado.
Carfax / Autocheck showing no accidents, Original Speedometer stating 77K is included with the truck. The new motor (with matching modern defender speedometer and digital odometer) has only 9900 miles on it. They installed a high performance cam shaft too, so it may not pass smog in your state. Includes two sets of keys, a binder full of information and manual.

This truck went through a $55,000 custom 6 year build. Over $80K invested ($28K Clean 1994 Defender plus the $55k build cost). Cost was not an issue for the owner but functionality, quality, and power were which in turn provided an unparalleled Defender 90.

Some of the build items are:
-Brand New Special Order "High torque" RPi 4.8 New Engine at a cost of $19K (300 Horsepower). Truck gets up and GOES!
-Fully rebuilt original 5 Speed Transmission
-Custom painted Porsche Seal Gray (Graphite gray) at a cost of $8K.
-Fully soundproofed custom truck cabin is as quiet as a Lexus. Custom stretched for indoor and outdoor rear cargo room.
-Custom built roll cage using original front windshield Defender Frame. Roll Bar connects directly to frame in rear! Not just cosmetics but all FUNCTIONAL custom fabrication.
-Heavy duty custom Axles
-Custom Built steel rock sliders
-Custom Stereo w Ipod hookup
-Steel Differential Covers
-Old Man Emu Lift with Bilstein Shocks all around
-Full ARB lockers front and rear (Compressor not installed)
-Custom newer generation Defender dash with custom stereo and other switches. Professionally installed by top British mechanics in Denver
-Custom decals
-All new interior, headliner, etc. Rubber matting for comfort and durability
-265 75 16 BF Goodrich on Stock Defender Powder coated wheels with Full size spare (mounted perfectly inside bed)
-Professionally bedlined bed
-Custom Locking Tuffy Steel Center Counsel
-Powder coated diamond plating throughout

THIS DEFENDER is not a home construction, it was all custom built professionally. We promise that if you drive this you will buy it. Unlike ANY other Defender you will see OR drive. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

It's a nice looking truck, at least from the pictures. Will it fetch the asking price? Who knows...

Based on their own logic behind their supposed "time and expense" for this build, I'm afraid to see the logic they use for their asking price!

Yeah, considering I can still see green all over the place, I would assume they don't really have much into it, aside from the purchase price of $26k, a crappy respray with all of the body panels still in place, and some different seats.

That's the ad I was originally trying to find - the ad where it was the new color, but on a really bright concrete driveway, and same reference to "no expense spared" yadda yadda, but this came up first.

That would be the one. Where else do you also read "it can go 110 mph".

Maybe the new owners sent it back to the UK and asked for the 4.8? I just find it funny that they list the engine like THEY did it AFTER they bought it for $26k, and then break the price out further to show the engine cost **them** $19k.

Mark, did you use two pickup cab roof sections grafted together to get the extra cab roof panel? It looks good.
